    1. When I checked out this book, I had no idea it was a 4 volume series. However, I am now elated to continue to read about the fascinating stories of black women all over the world (most of whom I have never heard of). I inadvertently started with Volume 2, but it is a quick read as the beautiful yet haunting and sad pictures fill most of the book. I look forward to reading the rest of the books!
