I vaguely remember reading this book in 2006.It was an exciting read, especially for someone native to BC.What's cool about these books is that they're written from a secret (pretend) organization called Xtreme Adventures Inc. By reading the book, you join the organization. At the back, there's all this extra stuff like field guide pages, files, and quizzes to test your preparedness.
