    1. I love impulse purchases at bookstores! I picked this handy book up from Barnes & Noble over the weekend and it looks pretty awesome. It's got hikes for total wusses and total bad-asses, and for those in-between, with all kinds of handy information and tips about each hike. It even has a list of "Best Hikes", like Best Easy Hikes, Best Hikes for Berry Picking, Best Hikes to Waterfalls. I'm so excited for next summer.

    2. I enjoy Moon Guides. I find them to be useful and practical. I've used this for many day hikes around Seattle and found their ratings helpful so I could choose the sites or intensity that I was looking for at that particular time.

    3. A good collection of hikes, not too far from the city. There is at least one hike that has bad directions and tells you to turn on the wrong exit. Either Rattlesnake Ledge or Twin Falls, I forget which one.

    4. This book does have a lot of good hikes I want to do. I enjoy the style this is written in better than some hiking books, but no color pictures.
