Nakon što je u svojoj mladosti potpisao ugovor s Astarothom i od tada živio život kakav se samo poželjet može, nakon svoje smrti, duša Borasa (glavnog lika ovoga romana) postaje sredstvo za izvršavanje raznih političkih događaja.
