    1. Excellent story, well written, Christian, loved it. Writing, speech, mannerisms are of the period, and delightful to read, since the author was born just before the Civil War. This book was published in 1905. A Confederate officer falls head over heels for a beautiful Yankee, but there appear to be more roadblocks to their relationship than just the war. Don't get discouraged and stop reading until the very last sentence.

    2. This is about a Confederate soldier, and a Yankee lady, during the Civil War. I found it good, like his others, (but My Lady of the South still ranks above all the others! ), and I just have one word of advice: Even if it seems to be a terrible tragic romance between them, DON'T quit reading!!! It has a surprise at the end, that makes everything perfect!

    3. This is a good, old fashioned romance adventure set during the Civil War. A Confederate soldier falls in love with a Northern lady. But don't worry, because this is not only a lot of gushy romance. There is a lot of fighting and adventure and swashbucklig to keep the interest of any reader. This is not my favorite Parrish book, but it is still a good read.

    4. I found this as a great book. It is easy to understand if you have knowledge on the American Civil War. It is a descriptive book on the relationship between a man from the south, and a lady from the North and it analyses the feelings that the North and South had towards each other.

    5. A good book, but definately written 100 years ago. It is interesting to read about the civil war from the perspective of someone in the time just after it.
