    1. At first I hated this book. Then, by gosh, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Totally a break away from your traditional comic. I loved how fearless the approach to this series is. Nothing is conventional. The art totally reminds me of Silent War and damn did I love Frazier Irving's art on that one. Snap this is going to be a fun series.

    2. Black Bolt: Prisoner. How will he get out?Who is his jailer?Who else is in there with him?Oo a mystery! I'm in it for a good while.

    4. Blackagor Boltigon. That’s the name. Don’t wear it out. yes, the king is in prison. a space prison to be exact. and he’s gonna try to bust out. this is a cool series - probably one of the stronger marvel titles i’ve read recently. definitely recommend. Rating for issues 1-3

    5. Of all the comic book characters and teams that have gained popularity, the Inhumans are one of those I've most overlooked. Granted, I love Ms. Marvel, but I haven't ever delved into the Royal family. I decided to pick this up on a whim, and I'm glad I did.Taking Black Bolt and making him a prisoner is an interesting idea which poses many questions. Wonderfully drawn, plotted out in a rather intriguing manner, a story compellingly told, what a great start to this series.

    6. Saladin Ahmed is a colleague of mine so I ran off to buy this right away in order to support his work (and that of the artist, Christian James Ward.) I've been a fan of Black Bolt since I was a kid, so I was very excited to read this. The first issue sets up the situation nicely: something has happened to lock Black Bolt in some kind of nightmarish prison. There's a lot of "something" and "some kind" in my description and that's because nothing is clear yet. In fact, I'm not even sure how much o [...]

    7. It's a fun read with a very peculiar style. I like that it told a "single story" while also living room for more. The best thing, is that it doesn't cut or leaves the story hanging, after each twist, it goes on; so by the final page you don't feel cheated.

    8. I gravitate normally toward female-centered comic series, but, come on, it's Saladin Ahmed. He's an awesome writer and I'll read anything with his fingerprints on it.Black Bolt wakes up in prisonat's all I know so far (I know very little about the Inhumans in the comics universe).

    9. Promissing start. I think it's pretty cool thar Marvel offered the writing to one of fresh voices in fantasy world.

    10. Most people know I dont care much for Inhumans (the X-Gene runs deep) but I've always liked Black Bolt and this 1st issue did not disappoint. I will be continuing in this series.

    11. A bold new book from Marvel. For the first time the King of the Inhumansis on his own.Cut off from his peoplehis powers(his voice is a kinetic blast)Black Bolt must find a way to free himselffrom a prison that hedoes not remember being sent to.Salidin Ahmedis an award winning authorand it is nice to seemore diversityin Marvel's Bullpenas Stan Lee used to call it.I look forward to seeing where this seriesis headed and more from the talented Mr. Ahmed.

    12. Didn't really enjoy the first 10 or 15 pages, which is over half the book, I love the premise, and I enjoyed the plotline, it's perfectly fine. i loved the dramatic ending, but it really didn't have to be like that the ENTIRE BOOK.
