    1. A great adaptation for children of the Daniel DeFoe classic. It is part of Calvert School's 4th grade curriculum and was quite enjoyable for my children and myself. Will be reading this to my youngest as soon as we finish our current read-aloud.

    2. I read this story with my 4th grader for school (we Virtual School). We liked it, this adaptation was pretty easy to understand. There were some parts we had to read a few times to get. But all in all it was a pretty good book :-)

    3. I love this book like a lot!.weandpeamakes3@gmailI love this book cause Robinson Crusoe fights like a night ,& he is very brave. Thanks,Paige Marie Caddy.

    4. My 4th grader and I read this together for homeschool literature. He's such a picky reader, and I don't recall ever reading this story myself, so it was a bit of a chance. Well worth it though, he loved it! Adventure, a wide range of feeling (lonely, brave, prepated, scared, etc), and all very easily laid out in this children's version. We also listened to the audio version for a break at reading out loud to each other. I'd encourage anyone grades 3-5 to try it. It's a long story, but broken int [...]

    5. This is the only version of Robinson Crusoe that I have read and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I think what makes it fun is Robinson isn't panicked nor does he go crazy because of living on the island for 25+ years alone, like I would. He builds himself a "castle" and a "summer home," has a little farm and garden, and is quite happy. No one else arrives on the island for the first 25 years and when they do, that's an interesting part of the story too.

    6. It's a very good summary of the book. I think that the author put in a bit of his own interpretation when writing it. It seemed to me that sometimes he even tried to make excuses for the author being a product of his environment. Anyway, I read this book because my 5th grade students are reading it.
