    One thought on “Starlight”

    1. I've completed the 4th book in Erin Hunter's "Warrior: The New Prophecy" series, "Starlight". My regular readers will remember that I'm working my way through this young adult series that depicts the lives of an entire culture of cats living in the wild. This is the second set of six books about these cats and I am happy to report this book returns to the roots of what makes these books great.I really enjoyed the first 6 "Warriors" books and felt the series stood complete at the end of that firs [...]

    2. This book wasn't one of my favorites in the Warriors series, I don't like the way Brambleclaw is acting right now. He keeps worrying about Tigerstar and all that stuff. It's getting a little bit annoying when the Tigerstar thing keeps being brought up. But, it was still a good book, just compared to the others it was a little slow.

    3. My poor babiesOnce again I find myself thoroughly surprised at how much these books make me sad and happy all at the same time. As time goes on I find myself loving this series more and more. I will be so sad when eventually I finish it

    4. Basic synopsis: Now that the clans have found their new home, tensions again rise as territory is sorted out, death of a leader brings rise to uncertainty in all clans, and they must find a way to contact Starclan before it's too late. A new prophecy arises: Before there is peace, blood will spill blood and the lake will run red.More character development! PLEASE! Leafpaw and Brambleclaw are the cats this book follows and Leafpawfalls in love. Wellrt of. There isn't much development between her [...]

    5. In the book I am currently reading called WARRIORS, STARLIGHT, the main characters are Brambleclaw, Crowfeather, Tawnypelt, Mistyfoot, and Squirrelflight. Brambleclaw is a warrior from thunderclan and is a dark brown tabby tom with amber eyes. Crowfeather is a warrior from windclan and is a dark gray, almost black tabby withblue eyes. Tawnypelt is a warrior from shadowclan and is a tortoishell she-cat with green eyes. Mistyfoot is the deputy of riverclan and is a gray she-cat with blue eyes. Las [...]

    6. The remaining 4 of the 6 explorers have successfully lead their Clans to the new home. Borders will be divided and territories, explored. Involving characters forced to break friendship ties, cats exploring their new territories, and a leader dying, only to be replaced by a new one.A defiant rebellion will clash against allied forces for power. This book is extremely exciting as loation is changed as you follow the exploring cats. I reccommend this book to cat lovers. IN FACT,I RECCOMMEND THE WHOLE [...]

    7. They arrive at their new home and trouble breaks out pretty much immediately. A story thread begins that compares faith to lack of faith (and, in one instance, blind faith on the part of Firestar) that lasts the rest of this series. My main complaint at this point is that the books end in a way that doesn't properly seem 'finished', especially the inevitable 6th installment. (I've now read all six of this series so that's my conclusion).

    8. In this one, everyone yells for 598 hours about borders and who should run Windclan. Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight refuse to talk to each other over stupid reasons, and Leafpool has a sexual awakening realizing Crowfeather is hawt, but remembers she is a magical nun. Fun times.

    9. This was such a good book! I'm really sad because I don't have the next book, but that won't take long to get. I like how before everyone's settled into their new home, cats attack with Mudclaw. But I am curious about Hawkfrost. Is he good to bad? I can't wait to find out what's going to happen!! These books have kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Can't wait to read some more.

    10. This book was very exciteing. The 4 clans finaly arive from their long journy from their old homes. In this book the clans have to split up once more and divide their terotories. They finaly find there homes but everyone is grabing terotorie so fast. As wind clan settels Tallstar dies. His last words were to apoint a new deputy instead of Mudclaw. Mudclaw and Hawkfrost then gather cats from other clans and attack wind clan because they believe that Mudclaw is the real leader. In their new home t [...]

    12. This is probably one of the better books in the second arc of this series, as much for the story itself as for the promise it leaves for the rest of the arc. Now that we have some cats with a lot of really interesting history with eachother, the authors are able to do a better job with creating interpersonal (intercatural?) tension that's believable and intriguing. Added to that, we have a new setting, which we are exploring with the characters. Everything is new, but still has a weight behind i [...]

    13. THIS BOOK IS 2!!!They finally get to there new home but all of the cats were weak and tried. The cats that went on the tribe to the sun-drown place went and explored the area. When they finally moved in to soul mates were fighting. One of them found a new cat to hang around. But as he tries to forgive her she just doesn’t lison. Though some cat has a plan to take over. Crowfeaither sonly after the death of Feathiertail he is now in love with someone new.I liked this book because you can’t gi [...]

    14. "Starlight" is the fourth installment of the "Warriors: The New Prophecy" series. Now, a warning to any "Warriors" fans, this book isn't like the other books that you are used to. This one is slower and isn't as action packed, but either way it was a good book. Now, for the story:When the clans move into their new lake territory, more than one cat is facing difficulties. Brambleclaw is having trouble whether to trust his half brother Hawkfrost, or the love of his life, Squirrelflight, who would n [...]

    15. Wonderful!I think that this continuation of Warriors was great. The alternating point of views were perfect, character development and characterization were incredible, and the overall plotline was exciting. I love the constant feeling f anticipation that resides in all Warriors books. You know something exciting and usually unexpected is going to happen at the end, but you're not sure what. This is where the alternating point of views come into play. Cat A thinks Cat B is good and trustworthy, [...]

    16. Me encantó.

    17. Ah. Finally. Some things long-awaited happened. Now that thought is made on my part upon this weightless subject, I believe that I appreciate the way they were dealt with. Now there is opportunity to heap more problems upon these poor cats. Hopefully to the enjoyment of the reader. 😼 So, I will now [have], with some mingled apprehension and excitement, approach[ed] the next book in the series.

    18. This book is awesome! I was in the edge of my seat the whole time, exited to see what troubles will come with the four clans new homes!

    19. A lot of excitement. The ending is very tense.I enjoyed reading it so much that I finished it in very quickly without realizing it.

    20. Goed boek. Spannend geschreven. Er staan wel een aantal typfouten in door de vertaling, maar dat mocht de pret niet drukken!

    21. The last bit of journey for the gang and I’m so glad that it does not take up half the book. Also, the thing with Leafpool and Crowfeather just kind of feels like it was just put in there for shock value.I know Bluefur and Oakheart hardly spent any time together but I don’t really think they said their I love you’s so quickly, at least not from what I can remember.Another missed opportunity with the new cover of this book. I know the cats are the focus but they could have done something in [...]

    23. So far probably the weakest book in the series, far too focused on settling into their new home and arguing day and night. It was hard to say when the story really picked up, when it felt more like a telling of events in a much too long string. It was repitive, with the only redeeming quality being the chance to see every territory closely and the characters chemistry. I read through it fast because i knew otherwise i'd never get on in the series, im hoping better from the next!

    24. The Clans have finally found a good place to set up their camps and territories. But this is a struggle, for they have to explore the land and Leafpaw needs to find a new moonstone. They struggle for survival while dealing with their territories. It's a really good book because cats are struggling to survive and we tore up their territory. It shows the true relationship between humans and cats and the wild.

    25. Terrible plot, Erin did horrible foreshadowing (as always) and a bad plot. Out of all the books I read in this series, this is the worst. Squirrelflight and Leafpool hogged the book, and you killed off Tallstar, one of my favorite characters. Squirrelflight is so annoying. The only good part was the battle at the end. I hope the next one is better.

    26. Good god! They were all friends in the last book! Now they are fighting like there is only one mouse tail left to eat in the entire world! A violent gritty tail (ha-ha!) about how greed thrives in animals just as much as we Twolegs.
