    1. Going for a Sea Bath is a quirky story that makes bath time fun for the many minds that see it as a boring chore. Leanne doesn't want to take a bath but her dad says she will smell like a skunk if she doesn't wash. Next he has a series of fantastic ideas that help make bathtime enjoyable for Leanne. He gathers sea creatures to amuse his daughter during her bath.I remember as a kid having baths with my siblings and we used to pretend we were at sea or in a pool, and probably numerous other scenar [...]

    2. A great book for counters and children who enjoy looking closely at the details in illustrations. Also for those who are fascinated with sea life.

    3. A fun daddy and me read. Little girl doesn’t want to take a bath so dad brings her more and more sea animals to make her bath more interesting until there’s no more room for her. Not a stellar story but it’s okay.

    4. Delightful illustrations. Adds a counting element to a cumulative tale. Has some well-handled nudity because she is in the bath after all.

    5. Leanne is completely disenchanted with the idea of taking a bath because it is too boring to do so. Her father decides to fill her bathtub with various sea creatures to liven things up. This works quite well for awhile, until there is too much of a good thing, and the tub is overflowing with more animals than water or girl. The two decide to leave the turtle, eels, clown fish, and octopi behind and head to the sea for their own bath. Young readers will love the cartoonish illustrations, filled w [...]

    6. It's a counting book, no a bath book, no a silly book, and also one that will help with vocabulary, at least the one that shows synonyms of "terrific". A young girl says she hates bathing and her father starts down the road of entertaining, first with "I have a good idea." And he brings in ONE Turtle. You see how that will go, until the tub fills to the brim, with sea animals. It's a Sea Bath, and there's an extra at the end. This will be fun for a bit of learning about sea creatures, and especi [...]

    7. A story book with an ocean counting theme! It isn't easy to find a counting book with enough to read on each page, most don't even last 5 minutes when reading with a child. Going For A Sea Bath however is a great length and really entertaining too!Leanne just isn't interested in taking a boring old bath so her dad runs all the way to the ocean and keeps bringing back some type of sea life to put into her bath tub so she has a fun time taking her bath. Once the bath is overflowing with tons of di [...]

    8. A bit too silly of a premise. Leanne doesn't want to take a bath, but her dad is worried she'll smell like a skunk. Leanne complains baths are boring. There's nothing to play with in the bathtub. The family lives next to the ocean, but the dad's solution to bath time boredom is to deposit all sorts of sea animals into his daughter's bath to encourage her to take a bath? This is a poorly executed counting book, at best. Sorry.

    9. Leanne is luck because she lives by the sea. However she never wants to leave the shore, especially when it is bath time, so her wise father brings the sea to her tub. We count as creatures fill the tub and by the time we reach 10 octopi, there is no room for Leanne. This cute story filled with super-cute drawings will appeal to children age’s four to seven.

    10. Leanne is looking for bathtime excitement, and it comes in the form of sea life. Dad brings in a variety of creatures in increasing amounts (1, 2, 3) until the bathtub quite overflows with ocean denizens. Would be a superb counting story.

    11. megan summer reading 2016, children's book, picture book, bath, sea creatures, humor, prek, kindergarten, first grade, counting,

    12. It’s a bath book; no, it’s a counting book; no, it’s an introduction to sea life; how about all three. If you’re looking for a creative book with great pictures this book could be the one for you.

    13. Cute counting picture book with a bit more text than most counting books! Loved all of the different sea creatures that join the little girl in the bath.
