    1. This novella was really hard for me to buy into. Novellas give such a short time for the characters to get to know one another (which is why so many of them rely on previous shared history), but in this one, the characters not only have no history, but the vast majority of their experience in the short story consists of her pretending to be someone else. I also had a hard time connecting with the depths of Teresa’s low self-esteem. What saved this novella for me was the secondary characters of [...]

    2. Testing the Waters deals with the desire to be someone you aren't after someone tears you down. You are a creation in Christ and both characters had to deal with rejection, but they did it in different ways. This novella allows you to use your imagination. What happened between the "reintroduction" and the epilogue, no one knows except that it was good. I like that about this book. Though this is easily a novella you could read in one sitting, I wasn't able to. Life kept happening and days would [...]

    3. Some times it's easier to pretend to be someone else. Teresa is getting away after a bad breakup. Her ex boyfriend told her she wasn't good enough. When she meets Curt on the beach she decides to be someone else. Which is fine, until she meets up with him again. And again. It's hard to pretend when you are yourself around some people and not others and then the people start showing up together. This was a great story. I really enjoyed it as I have other books by this author. Looking forward to mo [...]

    4. This was a cute romance about a girl coming out of a bad relationship.Teresa tries to re- invent herself when she goes on holiday for the weekend by pretending she is Therese,a Parisian womanis is a comedy of errors. She meets who might be Mr. Right but who is he attracted to?This book is about second chances.I look forward to more by this author.

    5. Testing watersI enjoyed reading about Curt and Teresa. A valuable lesson to be yourself and not who someone wants you to be.
