    3. This is the first book I've read by this author and what a fantastic surprise it was for me. This is a really well written story about dealing with grief and trying to move on. Lila needs to make a heart breaking decision about her husband who is in a coma. Unwilling to speak, Dr. Ross Reeves, a psychiatrist, is called in to help her. Will helping her help him deal with his grief?Really great storyline with characters that came across as real. With unpredictable twists and turns I was totally gr [...]

    6. I gave this a 4.5 review on Audible"The Missing Year Review"The Missing Year falls somewhere in the middle of all the audiobooks I've listened to. It wasn't my favorite nor was it my least. It sort of had a heavy lingering effect of grief. Understandably Lila is grief-stricken with the loss of her husband and remains in a catatonic state where she's put in an institution then has multiple suicide attempts and refuses to eat.Dr. Ross also knows loss and has hope for her and tries several techniqu [...]

It was hard to put it down at times, because I needed to know what would happen next.At the same time, I felt like some of it was a little too hard to believe. There were also parts that I felt shouldn't have been surprising to the characters, especially among medical professionals.Throughout the story I found myself most drawn to Lila. I want [...]

I started this at work and I couldn't stop I had to figure out what happened. It has a lot of chapters but they are quick so it doesn't feel like the book is taking forever.
