One thought on “When the Dead Whisper”

    1. When The Dead Whisper immediately brought to mind the Ghost Whisperer. I love ghosts and a novel that has the main character able to see and talk to them is on the top of my to read list. I am ambivalent about ghosts. How about you? Do you believe?A feeling of expectation and angst followed me throughout the book. I was on pins and needles, walking carefully through the pages. Waiting, waiting. Knowing it’s coming.Knowing he’s coming? Is there a serial killer on the loose? In Danvers? The wri [...]

    2. I was provided a free copy of this ebook in exchange for an honest review. When the Dead Whisper by Tara Neideffer: From the author that brought you Deadly Road, this ghostly murder mystery will leave you breathless. Tara Neideffer has created a world and characters that are harsh, gritty, and flawed, and yet you love them. “Haunted by her past, Wanted by the dead, Tracking a killer” Mia is thrust into a different shade of her world that she never expected. Mia Rushton is a young tattoo arti [...]

    3. More of a 3.5 rather than 4. Pretty good story, I liked the paranormal aspect and the romance.Mia Rushton is a tattoo artist at Irish Ink and also sees herself as a little odd and different. Dealing with the loss of her parents who died in a car accident a year ago, she's still stuggling and trying to make life as normal as she can. She makes a decision to stop taking her medication, meds which her father told her she needed, and things start unraveling from there. Add to that, a serial killer i [...]

    4. I received this book from the author for an honest review.Mia is in her early 20's, alone in the world except for the guys she works with at the Irish Ink Tattoo shop and her neighbour Lisey. The story is recounted through Mia, as she tells of her turmoil, trying to fathom the uncanny feelings, visions and nightmares she is experiencing. (view spoiler)[ Mia doesn't recognise or connect her ability to hear or appreciate the messages that are being conveyed to her through the deceased initially, i [...]

    5. "When The Dead Whisper" is the debut novel that introduces readers to a young woman named Mia Rushton. Mia has some oddities to her character and her life and readers will find themselves rooting for her. I know I was definitely rooting for her. Mia's parents both died a car accident a few years before this novel takes place, but the author does such a superb job in describing their roles in Mia's early life, that readers will feel like they know them (at least a little). Readers will be enthral [...]

    6. ***I received this book in exchange for an honest review from the group LOP, or Lovers of Paranormal.***Okay, can I be Mia Rushton? She's just pure awesome. Everyone in her circle was pretty damn cool, actually. Without giving too much away, I love how mental illness was portrayed in this book. Everyone was nonjudgmental and treated it like the medical condition it is. Very cool. And I really liked Ryan--I hope we find out more about his past at some point. I thought this was a great start to a [...]

    7. I really loved this book. It had many twists and turns like a good book should have. It has a great story line and the charactors blend well with each other. You just never know who is around the corner in your life so its nice to see the surprises. If you want a really good read well then this is the book for you. Dont take my word for it read it for yourself. Happy reading!!!

    8. I'm the author, so my rating doesn't really count, but I loved writing it so I had to give it 5 stars :)

    9. *provided a free copy for an honest review*The first part of the of the story was interesting, it kept me invested in the story. I wanted to know more about Mia and her developing powers. However, then came the rest of the story, the murder mystery part, which felt shoved in. As soon as the murderer is first introduced (unbeknownst to all of the characters) it was fairly obvious he was the murderer. So that was one problem I had with the story, there wasn't much of a mystery as to who was the ser [...]

    10. I so enjoy a good mystery for a change of pace especially when it has paranormal mixed in. Mia is not your average girl which is a plus right away. Her job is interesting but she has also decided to take charge of a area of her life that she has avoided. She has questions and she wants answers and the great thing about this novel is the fun in finding them out right along with her. Even though I kinda guessed what she had masked all this time with medication it was exciting to realize yup. What [...]

    11. Mia is a rather quirky gal who works as a tattoo artist. She's troubled by dreams and the feeling she's forgotten pieces of her life. In an effort to retrieve these memories she decides to quit taking a medication, prescribed by her now deceased Psychiatrist father. Not long afterwards a dead woman starts stalking her - begging Mia to stop a serial killer. The suspenseful aspect of the story was well done though I thought the ending seemed a little too rushed and contrived. I won't explain furth [...]

    12. Mia Rushton has been lied to for all of her life by her parents. Not until she chooses to stop taking her medication does she realize she can see the future. The deaths of blonde woman at the hands of a serial killer. While she is coping with these visions, she allows Ryan to enter her life. The best decision she ever made because she will need Ryan more than she realizes as she is captured by the serial killer and faces death. This series is written at an extremely slow pace and you can figure [...]
