    1. It had potential to be a good story but it was just too rushed and it had the dreaded insta-love/lust, which I absolutely loathe reading about. The mystery was lousy. I figured it out long before the midpoint; the characters were one dimensional. I made it half way and stopped. Sorry.

    2. Again good friend told me to read ASAP. I did less than 24 hours I devoured this book. This same awesome friend is the one who recommend Lena to me. I LOVE this series. LOVED this book was my favorite so far. Devaka Devil is hot, sexy, and a badass bad boy. Emily was a perfect match for him. Did I mentione is a cop. Devil is not a big fan of Besides the awesome love story the mystery and action in this book were edge of your seat awesomeness. I'm chopping for the next book, CANNOT wait. I'm a big [...]

    3. A real page turner! I really loved Lena Diaz's Deadly Games series and discovered that TAKE THE KEY AND LOCK HER UP is my favorite one, it's also a great introduction to her new series EXIT. I loved her two main characters Detective Emily O'Malley and Devlin Buchanan, a sexy trained assassin. Be ready to sit on the edge of your seat or bite your nails, because it's a great suspenseful mystery filled with romance and intrigue. Both, Emily and Devlin, team up, to find the murderers of women, in pa [...]

    4. I received an early copy of "Take the Key and Lock Her Up" in exchange for an honest review. It will be up to the readers to decide the genre of Lena Diaz’s “Take the Key and Lock Her Up.” Diaz adds romance, mystery, suspense, and intrigue to create romantic connection between two people even if they are exact opposites of each other. Diaz’s intense romantic plot is full of twists and turns and unpredictability. Diaz introduces her two key protagonists detective Emily O’Malley and Devin [...]

    5. Dark and twisted best describe this latest in the Deadly Games series. The bonus with this book is it also kicks off a new series. All the Buchanan’s from the previous books are back with Devlin being the main hero of this one. Devlin’s job is a little darker than his brother’s. He is an assassin for a group called EXIT Inc (which is also the name of the new series). The author waste no time throwing you in the middle of chaos and you’re hanging on for the rollercoaster of a ride from st [...]

    6. Fast paced high octane story! This book was so good! Started off fast and never stopped. Devlin was a complicated character and was written so well. And Emily's struggles with the gray areas of right and wrong were a joy to read. This is a must read for romantic suspense lovers. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this book.

    7. Couldn't take to this one at all. He was far too dark a character for me to like and she kept making me roll my eyes at her stupidity! I'm not sure about the spin off series either, but I guess I'll probably try the first one and go from there.

    8. There isn't a book by Lena Diaz that isn't a winner -- and this is no exception. Her writing is really compelling and keeps you turning the pages. I'm a huge fan.

    9. …here she was, once again forced to do what she did not do best – make life-and-death decisions under pressure. When Emily’s own partner helps her pass the detective test, ensuring she’s off the streets, “to keep the public safe”, your faith in that person is rather shaky. A profound evolution is about to take place, my friends. True to her penchant for rich, intense storytelling, Take the Key and Lock Her Up by Lena Diaz will insert you into Emily’s head, gauge options in heady sit [...]

    10. I have not read that much by Diaz. Only this series and this book is the last one (as I understand it) in the series Deadly Games. I loved the first three books and they all got top score by me. These books are old fashion, romantic suspense that makes you want to stay home from work, sit in your reading nook and do nothing but read all day and night. That is how good these books have been. I must, however, say that I was a little disappointed on Diaz with this one. The story is awesome as alway [...]

    11. Thank you to Avon for providing me with a copy in exchange for my honest reviewSo Take The Key and Lock Her Up, what did I think of it, well I can honestly say I enjoyed every minute of this fast paced novel, it contains the perfect ingredients for a thrilling read, feisty heroine, hot but damaged hero, secret organisation, amazing chemistry and a didn't see it coming twist at the end.Detective Emily O'Malley, a detective better a solving crime puzzles than thinking on her feet comes across an a [...]

    12. Awesome read, kept me turning the pages! Emily O’Malley doesn’t think of herself as the best cop in the department but she is determined to do her best as a detective. When she spots a woman reported missing some time ago in a truck, she follows the suspect to a house off the beaten track. She calls it in and requests backup but when she hears screams, she knows she must act fast or the woman may die before help arrives. The last thing she expects is to find herself locked in a cell with a d [...]

    13. If you’re in need of a terrific action story, look no further!TAKE THE KEY AND LOCK HER UP is an absolutely fantastic book! Ladies, beware: your manicure might be ruined! Emily O’Malley is a young detective in Savannah. One day, while in her car she spots what seems to be the suspect in a kidnapping case, she follows the car and ends up in a house where she finds, not the abducted woman, but skeletons. That’s when a man enters the house. After being scared to death, she notices he doesn’ [...]

    14. Take the Key and Lock Her Up is apparently the final book in the Deadly Game series, which can be read as a stand-alone. I have not read the other books in the series as such I am unable to make any comparisons. The story started out with a bang and continued at that pace until the very end. This is a fast paced read that kept me on the edge of my seat and had me turning the pages as I was eager to find out what was going to happen next. There were so many twists and turns and it was not easy to [...]

    15. Lena Diaz is a rising star in the romantic suspense genre. This Deadly Games series keeps getting better and better. You will find that you can't stop turning those pages.Emily O'Malley is a newer detective on the Savannah police force and she is investigating the disappearance of kidnapped women. Devlin "Devil" Buchanan comes to her rescue when something goes wrong with her investigation. Unfortunately, as time goes by, it becomes obvious that this case does have connections to Devlin and the p [...]

    16. From the very beginning, this book had my attention and as I got further into the story, my attention never once wavered. I couldn't have stopped reading this even if I wanted to (and I didn't want to), this book had me on edge trying to figure out what was going to happen next. In this book, set in Georgia, we meet Detective Emily O' Malley. The story starts off when Emily notices a terrified looking woman who is sitting in the passenger side of a pickup truck as someone who has been missing. E [...]

    17. When you pick up Take the Key and Lock Her Up, I would highly recommend clearing your schedule for the next 24 hours because this is a book that you cannot put down. This book is action packed from the very beginning, and contains some incredible twists and turns, with an ending I did not see coming.Once again, we meet Detective Emily O’Malley of the Savannah-Chatham Police Department. Devlin “Devil” Buchanan steps in to provide backup to Emily while she is hunting for a kidnapper and vict [...]

    18. An action-packed adventure of espionage, double agents, car chases, shoot-outs, murder – and that’s just the beginning of the story. Newly minted Detective Emily O’Malley is the black sheep of her medical-career family, but she has some issues with her chosen profession. She doesn’t make the best decisions under pressure.EXIT Inc agent Devlin Buchanan has long trusted his instinct. It’s saved his life over and over again in tight situations. ((spoiler alert)) Now it appears he’s bein [...]

    19. Devlin Buchanan works for a secret government agency as an assassin. He's on an assignment when he hears a police officer's call for help. He ends up rescuing her but only in order to keep the young woman from shooting him. Emily suspects there's more to Devlin from the first time they meet. When she begins digging around for information, a kill order is put out on both of them. As if that isn't bad enough, Devlin is being framed for crimes he didn't commit and whoever is doing it is also target [...]

    20. Spectacular thriller that I couldn't put down! Twist after twist kept me guessing about villains and motives until the very end. This is hands down my favorite of the Deadly Games series. Devlin is masterfully woven in a razor fine line between courageous hero and dangerous assassin, a mix that kept me riveted. Emily displayed refreshing spunk and wit, a pleasant change from today's contemporary characters who rely on snark. Great dialogue, chemistry and tension kept the romantic pace at a white [...]

    21. From the very beginning the suspense is real. Detective Emily has you wondering what will happen next, but has you wondering if she can really do her job right. Quite funny her inner thoughts. Her life is quite an adventure with this case, but everything turns when she meets Devlin. His hot and strong, but who is he really a cop just a man she is attractive to or is he a secret What is EXIT Inc? Can these two work together or will they kill each other? Read this to find out! Filled with action, [...]

    22. Take The Key And Lock Her Up was a fast-paced, edge of your seat thriller that I just couldn't put down! This book kept me guessing through-out. I love it when I can't quite figure out "who dunnit"I really liked Emily's attitude, without it she wouldn't have made a good detective. Devlin was just plain hot! Together they were perfect.I really must go back and check out the rest of the Buchanan men!

    23. I was a little surprised by this book. You were reintroduced to characters from the other books in the series but the story didn't follow the same linet quite the serial killer concept of the other books. I enjoyed the characters and the book and can see where the author is using this story to progress into another series. Although the book didn't leave you with a cliff hanger it did leave some loose ends and the feeling the story isn't over.

    24. This book was so good! Started off fast and never stopped. Devlin was a complicated character and was written so well. And Emily's struggles with the gray areas of right and wrong were a joy to read. This is a must read for romantic suspense lovers. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this book.

    25. So many twist and turns kept me on the edge throughout the book and the romance? Well it was just as intense as the suspense. Love it! This one’s hard to do a review because it would give so much away. Totally fast paced with a fury but be warned the ending…well I’ll just let you be the judge. Great read.

    26. I do have to say, I enjoyed all 4 of these books. He Kills me, He kills me not got 5 stars. The rest received 4. This one in particular, did not stay to the serial killer side, though I did love it just the same. Hopefully, this author comes out with some more books in the near future

    27. Take the Key and Lock Her Up reviewTake the Key and Lock Her Up is the fourth book in The Deadly Games series written by author Lena Diaz. It is a fast-paced romantic suspense novel.

    28. Take the lead and drag her aroundWhat an action packed story, not much in romance but makes up for in suspense. The ending of the book leaves you hanging though, would have liked the story finished and cleared up more,so am not sure if there's to be a sequel.I

    29. The final one in the series?I loved this book, but am greatly disappointed this is the last in the series. I wanted to know more about Austin and maybe his love. However, this book was fantastic. Can't wait for for exit strategy. Sounds good!!
