    1. Although not the life Mitch Banks envisioned as the shopkeeper and owner of Alder Gulch's mercantile, it's not until Bethany Jones comes into town that he questions his fate and dependence on alcohol. Bethany Jones hopes the trip west with her parents means a closer relationship. Instead she becomes a pawn in an unexpected plot and realizes an idyllic bond with them is not in her future. Amidst deceit and betrayal, Mitch and Bethany will have to fight for their own own perfect destiny.

    2. Wow!I was as enthralled with this story as with the previous books in the "Shades of Blue " series. I must say this is the first time I've read an entire series in it's entirety, back to back. Hildie McQueen is a top quality author. Also for the first time, I will send her a personal email to tell she has another fan.

    3. Lovely story!I really liked the book, Mitch deserved a HEA for himself! I do wish there had been an epilogue telling what happened to Bethany's parents. Wonderful read!

    4. Great storyOh what a wonderful story The characters were a delightful pair of romantic love birds, they did a humorous bit of shuffling though the story.

    5. Great Novella! Even though this book is a novella, it has a great story and includes a lot in such a short time. Mitch is the shopkeeper and owner of the mercantile, he dreams of selling so he works the land. He first meets Bethany, when he sees her taking pictures and falls. Mitch is instantly attracted to Bethany and he starts to question his fate and his dependency on alcohol especially since Bethany tells him he drinks too much. Bethany makes a trip west with her parents hoping to become clo [...]

    6. I've never seen 2 people that are meant for each other as these two are. I was so happy that Mitch found happiness. He carried a heavy burden & never seemed to get to live his life. The alcohol kept him carrying a burden. Thank goodness a good woman was just the cure he needed. Thankfully our heroine had a loving grandmother to raise her. Now she finds real love & can begin a family of her own

    7. As with several of her books, this book could have been so much more. She introduces interesting plot elements toward the end of the book, then rushes through the climax as if she was in a hurry to get through.

    8. Montana blue #6Enjoyed this book very much. I like historical that follow the family. Find out how each person have found their path in life. Enjoy readers.

    9. Great ReadThis book is very well written. Enjoyed the story line. Could be a good read for teens as long as adults.

    10. Fun ReadLooking for a fun Saturday night read? This is fun, historical, clean and entertaining. You will not believe the girl's parents! Omg!
