    1. I do not understand why more people haven't read this series. It is hands down one of the best and most action packed fantasy stories I've ever read. I know it's an older series and that's probably part of the reason, as well as the fact that like Harry Potter, the first couple of books start out as almost middle grade, but as the books progress it definitely dips into YA.I love every single character introduced in the story. Saint Dane is one of my favorite villains ever written. The concept an [...]

    2. I love how this series, like other really good YA literature, grows along with its protagonist and its readers, getting progressively darker and more intense with each installment. Because there's no doubt that this is a heavy adventure.Feeling harried and desperate after his loss on Quillan, Bobby and Courtney are torn. On one hand, they desperately need to find their friend Mark, who may have changed the future and allied with Saint Dane. But on the other hand, Saint Dane is targeting the terr [...]

    3. When Bobby first finds himself on the territory of Ibara, he wonders why Saint Dane would want to 're-build' this territory seemed so perfect. However, he soon learns that the leaders of Rayne are keeping one huge secret from the villagers ~ their past. Since he can't find answers on Rayne without being discovered, Bobby teams up with Siry, the last Traveler from Ibara, and his group, the Jakills. After hijacking a ship, Bobby and the Jakills travel to the nearest place on a map that Siry had ac [...]

    4. I honestly don't know why I am still reading this series. I liked it at first and I do want to know what happens to Bobby Pendragon, but there is too much recapping in each book, and while the first person, journal style is fun at first, it is now irking.

    5. Goodness gracious, I don’t know what I was expecting when I started this book, but it certainly wasn’t what I got. What I got was much, much better than I ever could have hoped for. From start to finish, this book was a complete and total mind-fuck and there was a new twist every other chapter it seemed. It’s starting to get crazy, everything is coming to fruition slowly and more and more questions are arising and I am so excited to read the last two books of this series. As soon as Bobby de [...]

    6. These books are still fun, but I'm starting to struggle with them. I like it when I can't wait to get to the next book in a series. I am having to make myself get started with each book and then I feel like I'm wading through the beginning. I'm also starting to have serious doubts about the hero of the series and he's beginning to annoy me with his inability to remember important lessons. Maybe my irritation will be resolved and I'll change my mind as I read the last 2 books. Of course I have to [...]

    7. Still loving this series! A little bit more complicated, messy twists and turns.d even more territories being shown. I really like MacHale’s writing. And obviously this is still one of my favourite time traveling sci-fi adventure series’. Hobey-ho, lets go to next book!

    8. The pilgrims of Rayne (Pendragon, #8), D.J.

    9. Every single book in this series is amazing! Every chapter blows me away. I never know what is going to happen next, and I'm always surprised by the impossible plot twists. This time Bobby is fighting to save the territory of Ibara and the small village of Rayne. Ibara seems like a peaceful paradise, but this territory holds a secret that even Bobby will have trouble with, and the Traveler from Ibara wants nothing to do with him. The evil Saint Dane is up to his clever tricks again, but Bobby is [...]

    10. Have you ever wanted to take a character and just shake them until they started to think clearly? THis is Bobby in this novel for me. This is when you feel things start to really heat up. Bobby's now on Ibara, with it's bees for quigs. Ibara is a tropical paradise, but there's so many secrets in the jungle paradise. There's clues hidden in plain site about the past of Ibara, but there's been so much time between the two points that it's easy to miss the clues. We're treated to the outcome of one [...]

    11. "The Pilgrims of Rayne" was another wonderful entry into the Pendragon series by D.J. MacHale. it is a fantastic adventure novel in which the main character Bobby Pendragon once again has been sent to a brand new territory of Ibara, a perfect paradise island, to stop the evil saint Dane before he causes more mayhem. Meanwhile on Earth one Courtney Chetwynde is trying to stop Mark Dimond before he brings about the end of all Halla. This book was fantastic, its writing was really organized, but st [...]

    12. Overall Rating: 3.5/5Story: 3.5/5Characters: 3.5/5World-Building: 4/5Editing/Presentation: 3.5/5Story: The story flowed together nicely with several twists throughout, as can be expected. The story of what was happening on Ibara seems pretty basic until it gets to preparing for a war, while the story of what was happening on First Earth was a lot more interesting (probably due to its faster pace). Many elements flowed together nicely, though, and it was interesting to see how Pendragon is going [...]

    13. Many kids get bored about the the fact to read a big chapter book such as Pendragon “The Pilgrims of Rayne” but It all changed for me at least when I started this whole series or you would say it the Pendragon series. The most Impressive thing I Thought about this whole book is how the author was able to hook people into reading the first book such as myself. Other reasons why I liked this book so much is how descriptive the author wrote this book. I like the fact like Harry Potter the book [...]

    14. This was probably my least favorite book in the series so far. It was still good but I don't think it added much to the overarching story. I honestly was probably more intrigued by the story line of Courtney and Dodger than I was of Bobby's. I still think there are a ton of questions to be answered and am a bit concerned that there is not much time left to answer them. Overall still a decent book and I would recommend that if you've made it this far in the series it is still worth the read.

    15. Oh my goodness!I absolutely love this series. It was justjust wow.I am in love.It left me with even more questions than I started with (lol), but it's okay, because I don't pan on waiting before I start the next book in the series.I love the series!

    16. This was a breaking point for Pendragon, save halla or one island. Guess what he chose. Yup you're right it was the island because he spent so much time with them that he HAD to protect them. Therefore halla is one and the worlds are doomed.

    17. Even though I'm not super impressed with the writing throughout this series, the plot development is incredible, especially toward the end of this one. Woof!

    18. The Pilgrims of Rayne (Pendragon, #8) by D.J. MacHale is a phenomenal book that throws away everything Press taught him "Were playing by Saint Danes rules now"

    19. My least favorite of the series so far. I wasn't surprised by anything and thought the ending was obvious and obnoxious.
