    1. “I don’t have to tell you what will happen to your precious banks when we withdraw our holdings. Are those rogue clinics more important than your banks, or your multinationals?”Switzerland’s infamous death clinics are outlawed after a UN sanction on the country. After huge international pressure on the country, the clinics close, therefore fully ending the world market in legal euthanasia. In the aftermath, a number of seemingly unconnected and professional hitman-style murders are carri [...]

    2. Very much an action/mystery storyline that made an interesting read and particularly interesting for the off-beat euthanasia angle. The subject the plot revolved around, euthanasia, is of particular interest to me and attracted me initially, but I found the book entertaining and very readable.

    3. Disclaimer: I received a electronic copy of this book for free from LibraryThing in exchange for an honest review. The Good:*fast-paced and kept me coming back - "just one more chapter"*not too much gore/violence/profanity for a crime thriller (although there is some!)*no drawn-out bedroom scenes (although there is a strong sexual focus in the book, see below)The Bad:*a little unbelievable, but that's typical in thrillers and it was easy enough to overlook*A few typos - e.g. in the first chapter [...]

    4. Good thrillerDecent action story. Not sure the premise of the story is valid. Cannot envision such a global reaction to the core subject of euthanasia. Check, abortion is more controversial, yet we don't have such indignant reaction to it. But anyway, despite that, just put it aside and enjoy the story.

    5. Pretty suspenseful The beginning hooks you, lingers for a bit and picks up halfway through.- When you flip through the pages, you realize you're hooked. Overall, good read on a very timely topic.

    6. Jolly good readInteresting and creative idea, fast-paced action, likable characters, except for the bad guys, and you have an enjoyable time of it.

    7. The second book by Paul Wornham is very different from his original 'The Philanthropists Danse' but is equally well written and thought provoking, as well as being a damned good thriller!
