    1. Being an avid sports fan, this book looked like just the ticket. It purports to give a short biography of the idols of different sportsotball, boxing, basketball, golf, baseball. And although it does deliver on that issue, the author has used the stories of each athlete as a personal soap box against management, commercialism, salaries, and media hype.
