    1. This is the second book in Vivienne French series and again, it was a wonderful read. The plot is deftly written and revealed, and the characters are becoming as comfortable as your favourite t-shirt. It has a nice touch of horror, but still fits into a sort of paranormal cozy category. It is the sort of book one looks forward to reading and you find yourself anxiously awaiting the next one once you've finished it. I read this one through twice, the second time to savour it. J.D. Shaw has create [...]

    2. I'm not sure how I happened to find this series, but I have truly enjoyed. If I see a kitty on the cover of a "magical, cozy", I'm immediately drawn to it. I cannot wait for the next one!

    3. Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars I really [...]

    4. Love this seriesThe town is having a gingerbread house contest. It's where Vivienne meets Natalie, who was in the bathroom crying. After hearing a Natalie's story she feels sorry for her and wants to help her and her son Connor. But she has no information about Natalie. The town gets papered with threatening Santa notes and it just happens to be about Natalie's mean boyfriend Eddie. Next thing you know the police are called to a trailer where Eddie is hurt bad. Did Natalie do it and who is the n [...]

    5. The second in the series, this was a perfect fast read for the holidays. Interesting treatment of a banshee, powerful and helped by rifts caused in the first book. It's a good thing Vivienne hired help because she was out of the bakery more than she was in it.
