    1. ★★★★ 1/2! New Year, book 2 of 2. A holiday novella visiting with Jason & Anna. A poignant & beautiful tale of life, love, hope, forgiveness & second chances!“I’d always known the power balance between us was weighted in Anna’s favor. She had more to sacrifice by being involved with me. I had everything to gain by being with her.”Books in the New Life series should be read in order:Part 1: New LifePart 2: New YearIn New Life Jason Reitmiller met attorney Anna Stevens w [...]

    2. 4 Stars!! A beautiful and poignant follow up to New Life!I like that the author didn't sugar coat or make Jason's life any easier in this book. She kept him and his circumstances, his mental and physical disabilities as the result of an accident, very real. He doesn't magically get better now that he has Anna in his life. As a matter of fact, it's actually more trying for him, since he wants to please her family, but easier in the respect that she's by his side and he has her support. Jason stil [...]

    3. This is more of a 3.5 but I'm rounding it up because JASON!It's a little novella (IMO way too expensive for a novella and the $2.99 for something 40 pages long will always be beyond me, but okay) that picks up around Christmas time after New Life.I love these two! I kept d'aaaaw-ing and awwwww-ing during the whole read! I really like their dynamic and how, despite all these differences, they make it work. There's really not much more I can say about it without giving it away - Jason's the same, A [...]

    4. I loved Jason in New Life, and I loved him just as much in New Year! I love Bonnie Dee's writing.Messing up the name Woody with WoollyICELESS, I am still laughing now.Total reading fulfillment :)

    6. I really liked "New Life" the first book for which this novella is kind of a holiday sequel. I completely enjoyed getting involved with the characters again. I just love Jason, the brain-damaged accident survivor with a great sense of humor trying now to fit in today's society having social anxiety issues and memory loss problems from his crash. I kind of really enjoy Anna, the lawyer Jason meets while he's the graveyard shift janitor in her building. At the end of "New Life" she and Jason have [...]

    7. This little novella has only 40 pages and it is a sweet addition to New Life book 1. I read book #1 almost a year ago and still have clear recollection of the story and the characters. The novella gives the best marriage advice and the sweetest proposal I thought. If you want to read unusual heroes, Bonnie Dee's Bone Deep and New Life are good picks.

    8. New Year was a sweet story, i loved Anna and Jason in New Life.d getting more of their story was great I wish it would have been a little longer. I always want more of Bonnie Dee. This series is a must read!!!

    9. This would cost me $3.99 for just over 60 pages. I just can't afford to waste my book budget that way. I could buy a full size book cheaper. I would love to read this though.

    10. This was a nice little novella/follow up to the original novel. I like these characters and really wouldn't mind reading more of them.

    11. New Year: A New Life Story (New Life #2) 4 STAR ReviewI swear I don’t know why it took me so long to get to this book,I’ve had this sitting on my kindle since December and just got aroundto reading it. I receive numerous arcs to read/review and I wish I would have pushed this up so I could have read it for the holiday. This short story follows “New Life” where Anna and Jason met.Anna is a lawyer, expected in her family as both parents are successful lawyers.Jason was a maintenance man in [...]

    12. Have you ever wanted to know what happens to the happy couple once the final page is turned? In New Year you get to find out as the stress of the holidays puts stress on the burgeoning relationship between Jason and Anna and puts their HEA in jeopardy. Things have been going well between them with Jason keeping his chaotic emotions under control and doing better dealing with his disability and his limitations. He's accepted that Anna will always be the big breadwinner and just wants to be with h [...]

    14. 3.5 stars. New Year has Jason and Anna traveling to visit Anna's family for the holidays. The trip shows us why Jason and Anna are such a good pair, despite their often talked about (among family members and the characters spend some time thinking about it) socio-economic differences. While Anna spends a lot of time worrying about her mother, over-analyzing what her mother says to her. Jason just tries to put his best foot forward and keep the dog out of the way.I reviewed New Life by saying tha [...]

    15. There is just something about this couple that I just LOVE reading. I don't know if its how endearing I find the male character, despite his disabilities - or how warm and understanding the heroine is because of his disabilities. I just think the dynamic between these two characters SO fascinating and I can't get enough of them. Plus I love dogs and Baby is just so adorable, even when she's pissing on the carpet. This was a short read, unfortunately. It didn't take me long to get through it. If I [...]

    16. This novella is a follow-up to NEW LIFE. I really liked that story and it's unusual characters, Anna and Jason, and their challenging relationship. In my review, I commented I wanted to read more. This gave me more. I was able to check in with the couple. They've settled into their relationship, but still have more challenges than the average couple. I'm so glad Anna was able to see past the surface of Jason, and see what she needed in a man and a relationship. Even knowing they'll always have co [...]

    17. This novella continues the relationship of Anna and Jason after they got together at the end of New Life. Told in alternating point of views, Jason and Anna had kinks to work through especially how they perceived their relationship in the eyes of others (i.e. Anna’s family). There were insecurities from both parties – Jason felt that he was not good enough for Anna because of his mental and physical limitations and Anna’s insecurity about her parents’ acceptance of the relationship. The [...]

    19. A nice treat , especially this time of year. Warmed my heart . Would have liked an epilogue to offer some additional closure, but thought this short second installment was well rounded. Definitely a recommend to the friends.

    20. Nice story to finish the year. Life is short, you never know when something might happen to your plans, so try to live your life without regrets, settlement and conformity. Life is difficult and somewhat painful, but it's worth the risk and the adventure.

    21. Loved this amazing and tear-jerking sequel to New Life. Check out my full review and Silken Sheets & Seduction:silkensheetsandseduction.wordp

    22. 3.5 starsNot bad. It was great to catch up with Jason and Anna. Love Bonnie Dee and can't wait to read what she writes next.

    23. Like the first book, it just was, meh. Not very interesting, even with a disabled man as the hero. Felt too forced.

    24. Very cute Christmas story. Great followup to New Life. Also, some people were complaining that it was expensive but it's only $0.99 now :)

    25. Great continuation of Jason & Ana's love story. A short read that is well written, honest, funny and heartfelt. I hope there's more of them in the future!
