    2. I intended to read this as a counterpoint to Running Lean, but there are more similarities than differences between the two. The most obvious difference is that the barriers for businesses to scale rapidly were higher when Profit Zone was written. It remains to be seen if profitless businesses emerging as the hot companies of this decade (Facebook et al) will find a profit zone according to the rules outlined in this book, or if they will map out a new and unanticipated kind of business model.     3. A bit dated but a good high-level overview of some business leaders who succeed in altering their companies business models to match the times. Very high level and quick to read, not a lot of discussion of the downsides (everyone's a success story).
