    1. I want to begin my review by stating that I am NOT an author and admire anyone who can write (gosh, where would we be without them?). I am giving the book 2 stars due to the actual story and probably because I live within miles from Galveston and enjoyed reading about the area following the 1900 hurricane.I was so excited when I saw the review of the second book (Brides of the Storm) in the "Galveston Storm Series" in the Houston Chronicle.
