    2. A delightful read! Fun, entertaining character with insightful flaws and details. If you're looking for a lovely summer read, look no further!

    3. I admit I didn’t like the title. It sounds a little bit like a cheap romance. Therefore it would have never been my first book by Veronica Henry. But as I have already read her other titles and this book was recommendation, I gave it a shot. And it didn’t disappoint. Yes, there is romance and broken hearts, or rather amended hearts but everything wrapped up in a nice story. A little bit predictable, probably yes. But you open the first chapter and then you don’t want to stop reading. You w [...]

    4. When I picked up the book the first time around, I set it down pretty quickly. A society girl and the heir to a run-down Manor? Sounds like a modern version of a Barbara Cartland novel. But luckily I gave it a second try, because the characters are in fact likeable (even TV-starlet Richenda Fox) and there is a lot more to this story than you would think after the first couple of pages. A story about a difficult childhood (Richenda), being a single mother (Honor), suddenly having a father, infede [...]

    5. I heard this story through audio books . I could never give Veronica's stories anything less then 5*. They are lovely, easy books to read/ listen to. She always got intrigue and twists in the numerous story lines woven into these books. The dialogue is so smooth it just flows and gives you the same happy feeling as " The Darling Buds ." and that same sunny lovely day outlook. I'm seriously hooked on these audio stories .

    6. No matter how much I pushed myself, I couldn't continue reading this book I ended up skimming through it, hoping to find some sort of development Found nothing In my opinion Guy and Richenda were the couple for me.I found Honour boring I guess I wanted to see a relationship fight through hardships and come out the otherside stronger etc. DEVELOPMENT!I enjoyed the opening of the story but the rest just went downhill.

    7. I love love love Veronica Henry books. Great characters and storylines, intertwined lives and friendships. Would be great if we could have a second book with these same people involved. I look forward to reading the next book from this great author.

    8. Think this story had lots of potential. The main characters met properly only around ch 10. There's also little on how they gradually drew near to each other. Quite a pity. A pleasant read but gave an incomplete feel.

    9. The review box prompts to reveal what I think. Well, other that this is a very entairtening book, the multiple plots kept me on my toes so it was hard to guess who would end up with whom. Other than that, a pretty ordinary chick-lit book, well written and funny.

    10. On the whole I enjoyed this but it felt like it needed a few more chapters - everything ended up wrapped up far too quickly for my liking. I find this happens a lot - far too much of the book is spent setting the scene then the ending is rushed. Despite this it was a lighthearted enjoyable read.

    11. One of the first ever british chicklits that I read, way back in 2006, borrowed from the British Council Library. I had even forgotten its name and author until showed it up as a recommendation for me basis my past reviews and current reading list thanks ! :)

    12. I liked the characters Henry and honor, but my favorite character was Travis! I felt the ending was lame - unless she has left it open on purpose for another book!

    13. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Veronica Henry's writing style has you hooked from the first page. Have already read most of her books and will continue to do so.

    14. This was exactly what I needed; quick and light read. The writing wasn't exactly the best but the story was entertaining.

    15. Very cute and cheeky! Not real meaty but fun and fast, one of those books that guarantees a happy ending with all the ends tied up in a bow.
