    1. I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review. Love, love, love this cover! I also loved this short story! There was a lot of mystery to it and I was left craving answers but never got them.hopefully the next book will be full length because I got to the end much too quickly and I didn't want it to be over. It wasn't even a cliff hanger, the book just stopped abruptly, and right when it was getting good. I did enjoy how we got the story from the two main characters P [...]

    2. This is definitely an intriguing story. There's so much mystery and subterfuge that I'm not sure where it all is leading. It's such a short piece you can't really determine exactly what the book is. This serial cut off before any true plot development or conflict could arise, or even be tended to. It was very much what a prologue and first couple chapters of a novel would be. That very preliminary introduction of characters and background information. It wasteresting to switch between Lark and Ra [...]

    3. "Blind Barriers" by Sophie Davis is a dark and mysterious tale. Starting with a short plea for help by Lark, a missing young girl who now apparently is in an unspecified place, maybe captivity or limbo, we just don't know.Intrigued and puzzled we are left with our wondering about Lark while the author introduces Raven, another young girl who has newly arrived in Washington D.C. and is subletting an apartment in the city. While Raven makes new friends and acquaintances she is tempted by a diary s [...]

    4. I loved this book!!! I can't wait for the next one to come out!!!!!! Cliffhangar was awesome, the whole story was awesome. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!

    5. I am extremely happy that I got a copy of this book! It's different from what I usually read, it's mysterious, uncanny, and it grips you so tightly! I know I'm hooked until I find out what the last words says at the end of this trilogy! The story is told in different ways, by our two main characters, and by journal entries. One of the main characters is Raven, a girl who has recently moved away from home to start a new life. She finds an apartment and is warmly welcomed by her handsome neighbour [...]

    6. I couldn't find the correct edition, but I read the kindle editionI absolutely, without a doubt, LOVED this book!!! On some level, I liked it a little more than the Talented books (shh, don't tell Talia or Eric). Of course you can't really compare the two series, because Talented is a paranormal (right?) Dystopian Romance, and The Blind Barriers series is a mystery/thriller/romance. I am glad that this series took different direction from Talented, it really shows the ability and talent that the [...]

    7. Sophie Davis has done it again!! I loved (loved loved loved) the Talented Saga, and LOVED Pawn and now I LOVE (!!!) Blind Barriers! This book is written from the points of view of two different characters who live in completely different "worlds". Each chapter is about 1 girl. Raven is trying to make it on her own in a new place, and Lark is a rich girl that hides who she really is from her friends and family. Their worlds collide in an unexpected way Lark needs Raven to find out what happened t [...]

    8. From page one Blind Barriers is a gripping read. Raven, a girl who just graduated high school, finds the journal of a missing Jewelry Heiress. The journal reveals a Romeo and Juliet style romance, and clues beyond compare. The heiress leaves clues around under an assumed name renting a apartment, a train station locker, as well as other places. Seems the heiress was paranoid, for good reasons too because whatever secrets she has Raven uncovering, are secrets she was kidnapped for.I loves reading [...]

    9. I received a free copy of this book from the author, and cannot believe how good it is. I didn't have time to read it when it arrived in the mail and only began it yesterday. I read the entire book in just under 2 days. The way the chapters alternate points of view really made the pages keep turning. I would reach the end of one chapter sad to leave the point of view of Lark because I wanted to know what happened next. But by the time I'd reached the end of Raven's chapter, I'd be sad to leave he [...]

    10. I received a copy from the author for an honest review. This is a nice tease to an upcoming series. The story starts with Raven moving to a new town to start a new beginning. As she is pulling items from her trunk, she discovers a diary. Let’s throw in the sexy neighbor Asher who makes her feel welcome and wants to show her around. The story as well gives us a little background on Lark who is missing but gives us the back story of how she meets and falls for the forbidden Blake whom most would c [...]

    11. The Blind Barriers series is beyond strange but in a great, really fascinating and intriguing way. I like the style of writing, told from the point of view of Raven and then Lark. There is a mystery going on that I cannot figure out and that, to me, is an indication of a great story. The author shows incredible imagination! I really like this series and I cannot wait until the next book comes out. I need to know where this story is going to take Lark and Raven. I also need to find out what the m [...]

    12. I love this author, and her other books, so was really looking forward to reading this trilogy.I was not disappointed! This book introduces us to Lark who has led a very privileged life. But that life doesn't turn out quite how she expected when she goes missing. What has happened to her? Has someone taken her? If so, where and why?We also meet Raven. Her life couldn't be more different to that of Lark, but their lives are about to become inextricably linked. There are so many twists and turns thi [...]

    13. Ok so first of, I loved it. Once again Sophie Davis does not disappoint. But who ends a book like this??? Seriously, that was kind of well mean. Especially since my Kindle read I still had 40 mins.Guess that just shows that I will eagerly wait for second book.So enough about this though, I love the Storyline. It was actually unique, for me.Very well written with just the right touch of mystery.Thank you Sophie, for letting me read your book.I'm definitely looking forward to more.

    14. Sophie Davis has done it again! Blind Barriers drew me in from the first chapter until the ending. It's the story of a girl that dreams of moving to the big city and has set out to make that happen. Once she gets there, she finds a newspaper clipping of a girl that has gone missing. The events that take place next are just enough to leave you begging for more!5 out of 5 stars, Ms. Sophie Davis, for grabbing my attention and not letting go until the very end.

    15. The first book in the Blind Barriers serial series definitely left me wanting more with it's abrupt ending. Lark is the typical rich teenage girl, while Raven moves to D.C. to start a new life. But Lark's odd disappearance sparks Raven's curiosity, and the hunt begins I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read #2

    16. This book is eerie and strange. The writing is good. The tone is creepy and kind of sad. The pacing is fast. Lark and Raven are connected somehow. Blind Barriers is the first serial that introduces Lark and Raven. Lark is in trouble. Raven finds Lark's journal. This book was told in dual first person POV. 4 stars.

    17. I loved this book. I recieved it from the author after friending each other on social media. I knew I was going to like it when I opened the book and there was an instant mystery. I couldn't put it down, I could not wait to finish it. The story is easy to follow, and I loved the set up, and learning about the mystery girl. I am SO EXCITED to read the next book. I am hooked on Sophie Davis books!

    18. I loved this book, albeit way too short. it left so many questions, and i felt it lacked because of it being short. really looking forward to book 2. I totally got into this book, as short as it was, and can not wait for the next one, hoping it will be longer and answers all the questions I have.

    19. This book is exciting. I love a good mystery and that is just what this was. The book bounces between Raven's point of view to Lark's and is really easy to follow. This is a definite must read if you like mysteries. Congrats Sophie on another well written book that leaves you hanging on for more.

    20. I am a huge fan of Sophie Davis and this book is exception. Fast paced short read with characters that sweep you up and make you part of their family truly an amazing read. Give it a go why dont you?WaAr

    21. All of Sophie's books keeps me on the edge of my seat. The suspense is cruel, yet the anticipation of knowing there is more to come makes it easy to forgive.

    22. Can't wait to see what happens next. This is a very intriguing story that has you contemplating the plot direction and possibilities.

    23. This was a very good book enough just to get you hooked,, and wanting more I love have different yet alike the two girls are. this is going to be a great series

    24. Oh My god! I have to read the second one now. Like not just want to, HAVE TO! What a cliff hanger! I LOVE YOU SOPHIE DAVIS!

    25. This is the third series of Sophie's that I have started and it did not disappoint. I had this in my TBR list for a while, therefore I had forgotten the synopsis, and I had SO much fun trying to tell where on earth this story was going. Lark's mysterious disappearance is all you can think about during this addictive read. You will question every character's motive while your imagination goes crazy. We have Lark's current POV, Lark's past POV, and Raven's POV. All were written perfectly, and I re [...]

    26. My feeling for Fragile Facade seesawed as I read. Sophie Davis’ writing was cIear and elegant. Mystery looms throughout the book. Yet I have to be honest: it was not my favorite book by Sophie Davis. It’s split into two perspectives: Lark’s and Raven’s. Lark is an incredibly rich heiress who by any standard should be spoiled rotten, yet in spite of her parents she’s kind and caring. Raven is her complete opposite; she’s a poor girl who just moved to D.C. for the first time, is struggl [...]

    27. Sweet baby clue Jesus First off this book gave me total vibes of like “ gone girl” meets “ blind spot “ ( tv show). The way this author came up with the elaborate clues that lark gives to raven is fantastic! One point I’m thinking it’s this person who’s either taken or killed. Next I’m thinking it’s this person.Honestly it can be anyone! the fact you can’t get a handle on who it is makes me desperately need to read the next book! Especially sense she left a terrible cliffhang [...]

    28. This is a great first is series laying the ground work however I wish the reader was given more answers - this is 1 in a series but you must continue in order to get answers. The story did hold my attention and I expected answers around every corner but all I got was more questions. I hate to compare however the characters are a little flat compared to characters in this Authors other series. They are not happy in their lives and that clearly comes acrrossed in the writing but also leaves a pret [...]

    30. Great series beginner! I can’t believe I put this off for as long as I did. Our Sophie’s are incredible at laying out a great mystery. I was on my toes the whole time and trying to puzzle it out. Then “Why the missing star?” you ask. That’s simple. Raven. I feel she is very under developed. I have no idea what her story is and angers me. I found myself irritated at her; sometimes for no reason. Perhaps she will come around in the 2nd book. Thankfully January 28th isn’t that far away!A [...]
