    1. Just did a re-read before reading Book 2 and Book 3 is out next month. Did I like it as much as the first time I read it. Yes, I did but there were a few times I sort of said to myself "Oh c'mon, really?? (view spoiler)[after 24 years apart they just sort of picked up from where they were. I would have let HIM stew a bit more - yeah, I sort of blamed HIM - I know she was the one that left. but he could have tried to find her. Then again, there would not be a book 2 if he had. His use of "Baby Gi [...]

    2. **5 "It's Smoochal" Stars** Shooner Moore is a man who spends his 43 year old birthday feeling lonely, even though his wife has planned a party for him. An old friend mentions something from their college years and Shooner gets down in his memory lane, getting lost in his thoughts about the girl who stole his heart back then. A girl he was never able to get over with, even if he got married and made a family.Mia Silver was barely 16 when she enlisted on the Californian college. A true New Yorker [...]

    3. I absolutely loved this book! I loved Schooner. I loved Mia. I loved the surrounding characters. I loved the flashbacks. I loved the here and now. It's original and addictive.5 Mooreish stars See what I did there? ;)I am fuuuuurious at Julie A. Richman for leaving me dangling from that cliff!! Oh my goodness. Talk about cliffhanger. The good news, ladies, is that we only have to wait two weeks for book #2. Thank God!!So, this book is a second chance love story between Schooner Moore and Mia Silv [...]

    4. I have three words for you - SCHOONER FLIPPING MOORE!!! OK I actually have more words for you. This book is very likable and unique. I love how the author goes from the present to the past and back to the present. While doing so, she makes this book enjoyable for any one ages 18 and up. The book starts off with a dapper looking 43 year old, Schooner Moore. He's athletic, well-kept, fashionable, sharp and successful. The book then takes a quick turn back to his college years. There you will meet [...]

    5. Not sure what to say about this one. I started it a few weeks back. It was my supposed to be my "in between book" but after a bit of time I set it aside because I just wasn't feeling it. I picked it up again yesterday and read through it but in the end I just never got invested in Schooner and Mia. There are some pretty great reviews out there for this one so I am sure it was a matter of "it is me and my mood" and not the book. :)

    6. I was just thrilled to see that the main character is 43! This little tidbit of info is what really made me want to read this book :)

    7. Holy crap! What just happened? I LOVE, LOVE LOVED this book! Now I NEED book 2 - my stomach's in knots from the cliffhanger at the end - not sure how I'm going to endure the wait! Mia Silver and Schooner Moore meet as college freshman. Mia is a quirky New Yorker while Schooner is the quintessential blue-eyed, blond California boy who everyone naturally thinks is beautiful. He is desperate to please his family by being someone he thinks they think he should be - he has the gorgeous blonde bombshe [...]

    8. 3.5 stars Jenny: Well, Gitte I was checking through my notes and thinking back on this book about friends to lovers and second chances.oh there was so much I loved! Really loved. It was emotional, beautiful, sad, funny and the ending made me gasp, what a cliffhanger! Getting to know Schooner, Mia and CJ all the way through their college years and watching them mature, going through their ups and downs, was such a wonderful journey and I was enjoying this book so much, not to mention how much I l [...]

    9. 5 Can't Wait for Moore STARSPurchased this book last night and read it until I finished it. From the first chapter, it was very hard NOT to be invested in these characters. What is so very impressive is that it has the appeal for 20 somethings up to 50 somethings! We are taken from the present day where Schooner is 43 years old and has no clue what the hell his world has become or who he is. He's living a "plastic Barbie/Ken existence" with CJ until his old college friend, Beau, reveals that Fac [...]

    10. DNF at 40%Why the hype?I don't know is it just me since everyone else loved it, but I had to give up on this book, I was bored and I hated the main character Schooner. I have never heard that kind of name. It was really weird, but I got over it later. However, he was such a coward, afraid to be himself and I just didn't like him at all. Not even a little. The story itself wasn't engaging. I liked couple of very funny scenes with him and Mia, some where really cute and made me gasp, but that wasn' [...]

    11. ****4 utterly romantic stars****This must be one of the most romantic and at times heart-breaking stories I have ever read!I was pleasantly surprised with this book, as I had in mind something completely different with the FB references mentioned in the blurb.SchoonerBlonde guys are not really my thing, so I improvised a bit, but I appreciate a man who knows his tennis!MiaEven though immature for her age at times, she was a really good heroine.I expected something huge as a reason for their sepa [...]

    12. I've had this book for quite sometime now and was really excited to finally get to it. I thought it would be a good choice to read after reading Forbidden (a powerful but very tragic story).I liked the beginning of the story, as well as part of the flashback story as to how Schooner and Mia met back in College. However, some parts of the flashback story were a bit unbelievable how it went down For example :(view spoiler)[the part when Mia gets sexually assaulted and then right after she has sex [...]

    13. This first instalment of the series was divided into two parts - Schooner (««weird name) and Mia' s intense and sweet first love affair at college then in the second part some 24 years later, how they come to rediscover each other. The first part of the story was a sweet read, but I was a little detached from investing in them as a couple as the first few pages told me he was married to someone else. There's nothing like knowing it's not going to work out to force you to pull back I think.24 ye [...]

    14. FREE on US today (9/30/2014)Blurb:It was the 80’s – there was no internet, no Google, no cell phones. If you wanted to disappear, you could. And she did. She crushed my soul. A friend just told me he saw her on Facebook. And now I’m a keystroke away from asking her the question that’s haunted me for two decades. “Why did you leave me?” Two decades after she broke his heart, sexy entrepreneur Schooner Moore uncovers the truth and betrayal his life has been built on when he Facebook f [...]

    15. SERIOUSLY??? Are You Freakin' kidding me??? Dang cliffhanger!!!! But, I knew this b4 I read it from the reviews what I was in forBUT, I DEFINITELY wasn't prepared for what I just read!!! I need BOOK #2 like YESTERDAY!! I need more SCHOONER !!! Like NOW!!!!!"Your FIRST and Your LAST, Baby Girl"! ;))))

    16. LOVE, LOVE this book, "your first, your last" "baby girl" lost love found again on Facebook just perfect, flashback to college even more perfect but the cliffhager is pure evil on authors part and I want MOORE and I want to slap, hit, punch CJ and Zac in the face.

    17. “This is just the start. You know that, don’t you?”I love a good second-chance-romance! And while this wasn’t as epic as I was hoping for it to be, it was still an enjoyable read featuring two characters with a soul-deep connection, lots of swoony moments, some angst, and a nice amount of sexy time. Before I get started on the review though, I need to take a moment to WTF over the hero’s name – Schooner. Really? I have never heard this name before, and it took me a bit to get past it [...]

    18. 4.5 starsWe start with Schooner Moore attending his 43rd birthday, but find him detached from the celebrations. He is witnessing a party more in keeping with his wife's aspirations, CJ, than his.A random comment from his college friend, Beau, throws his head back to a love lost at college; Mia Silver. The next few days events lead him to reliving his college days, as well as trying to understand what had ripped his relationship with Mia apart.I really liked Schooner "swooner" Moore & his pro [...]

    19. This book was absolutely amazing. I am addicted to romance books and read a lot. This has been one of the best books that I have read in a while. I could not put it down until I finished it lost sleep but it was worth it. It has everything a romance novel should with many little twists it keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. I can't wait for the sequel. I need "Moore". Smoochal!!!

    20. I can't even express into words how great this book was! Ya'll need to get on that! It's fantastic! I I love supporting indie authors when a story is that great! Highly recommended! i can't wait for book 2!

    21. The Needing Moore Series by Julie A.Richman Adult contemporary trilogy. Must be read in order. FULL SERIES REVIEWI have been wanting to read the Needing Moore series by Julie Richman for a long time, but never really got a chance to commit to a 3-book series. I have heard so many amazing things, that when I saw it was on audio, I grabbed the whole series ASAP.I loved the epic story that covered over 25 years. I loved the realistic characters. However, I don't recommend the audio version of thi [...]

    22. 0 Stars- don't be fooled buy the 1 above. That is a legit "ZERO" stars. There were so many reasons I wanted to like this oneAnd yet, so many more I detested it. Anybody got a soap box I can borrow!?!I'll start with this gripe ----> "Baby Girl" was used 95 times. I didn't pull that figure out my kaboose. I literally searched it. ¡NINEFIVER! At 32 I felt the beginnings of a petit mal seizure. At 64 we had gone to alert level grand mal. Crap on a cracker! If that moniker ever worked for me it d [...]

    23. Beautiful heart warming stars!!The first part of the book stars of in the now but quickly goes to the past when Schooner and Mia meet for the first time and shows them forming a friendship which quickly turns into more. Although Schooner is dating C.J he knows that something is missing, he has never really let to and been himself. He always lived to please everyone around him but he sees Mia as carefree and wants to know her more. Their friendship turns into more but he will not pursue the relat [...]

    24. Attended by reality TV star wannabes and Southern California social climbers, Schooner Moore knows the party his wife is throwing for his forty-third birthday has little to do with him and everything to do with her social standing in Orange County. The evening turns out to hold more surprises than just his wife's Botoxed friends groping at his privates, when a conversation with his old college roommate, Beau, reveals the biggest surprise of the night.Beau has had contact on Facebook with Mia Sil [...]

    25. "You were my high, Mia. You taught me how to let me be myself and to like that guy and that is probably the greatest gift anyone has ever given me. Ever. And you liked that guy too and that made my heart soar. I wanted you to like me, not Mr. Hotshot Tennis God. I wanted you to like me. And it was when we were on that mountaintop together, that I was actually able to put it all together. I was in love and it hit me like a brick or maybe a snowball. I had fallen in love with you.”A different ki [...]

    26. Okay I found this book by recommendations on Facebook. It was definately worth the purchase. I thoroughly enjoyed the book even though there was a cliffhanger at the end. I absolutely hate waiting for the next book. Schooner Moore and Mia Silver are delightful characters. The book was well written and the story flowed beautifully and was convincing. It was nice to see the author take a fresh approach with the romance. The couple were the typical young adults, they were middle aged adults with a ro [...]

    27. Please don't be mad at me. I think I am the minority here. I am glad I only paid 0.99 cents for this. I don't think I will buy the second book. Don't get me wrong. I think the story is great. Love the H/h. While I loved the first part of the book when they were still in college, I didn't really care for story much after they found each other again. Believe me, I am not a fan of CJ. But their marriage lasted 24 years! And then BAMe divorce was not even final, the heroine is pregnant. Well, I mayb [...]

    28. This book is without a doubt, the BEST BOOK I have read in So So long. simply put rips emotions right out of you! You can expect crying, angist, snark, laughter, rage and anger! Why you ask, this is just a large part of the story.Schooner, Mia, CJ, Zac, & more will take you all over these emotions. You will want to hurt both CJ & her son Zac. You will love Seth's BBC comments & humor, Schooner will amaze you with his character, and Mia, wow does she go through hell when she was 16. Pa [...]
