    1. The only argument in my defense is this book is like a trainwreck, you can't stop watching. In this case, reading. Allie, the MC, along with her friend, Jess, accepts a job working in her father's hotel, in New Orleans. Having previously said that she's done with guys - first or second page of the novel - of course the first thing she notices, when arriving at the hotel, is the hawt guy at the bar, Levi. By now, I was pretty sure they were meant to be. Because I'm psychic, obviously. Shh.Levi is [...]

    2. Warning this review is very sarcastic, contains very mild spoilers & it basically just gifs It all starts out with a road trip to New Orleans, where Allie & Jess are working for the summer. Jess is a bit of an airhead constantly drooling after guys Allie seems to find it all a bitThen something happens with Jess & she ditches Allie to run back home great friend Allie & Levi hang out, get close he always has something to hide, always hold back yet she falls for him, leaving me ask [...]

    3. WOW loved this! Another favourite to add to the long growing list. This year has been one of the best book-wise. I loved Levi and Allies banter and how she played hard to get and always had something to say and they challenged each other. It's like Levi didn't know how to handle her because no one had ever not melted into a puddle at his feet and done everything he asked and Allie and him were perfect together because she wouldn't let him intimidate her. Man he was gorgeous! I also loved Hailey, [...]

    4. This was my first audio book and I feel like it was a total waste! Not only did the narrator sound like a robot, our leading lady is an absolute bitch! 1 & half stars. It all starts with two best friends (Allie & Jess) on a road trip to New Orleans to Allie's dad's hotel, Jess ends up going home for a stupid reason, Allie stays for a guy but makes out it isn't because of him. Ends up in a sticky situation which I still don't understand why Allie acts like a super bitch to everyone, not on [...]

    5. 2.5 starsStarted my reviewletedarted againleted. Can I really begin my review with 'Well, I didn't hate it'? Because I really really wanted to like it. I read the synopsis and thoughtYes, ok - sounds interesting. And really, I did like the premise of the story originally! Reality iswell, I didn't hate it.Our girl Allie is on her way with her flirty/boy-crazy BFF, Jess to New Orleans so they can work in Allie's (mostly absent) father's newly renovated hotel for the summer. Allie has just broken u [...]

    6. FREE! amazon/Flight-CrescentAllie starts Princeton in the fall so she wants one last adventurous summer away from her ex-boyfriend. Allie and her friend Jess decide to work at her dad's hotel in New Orleans. Jess is a bit boy crazy and immediately wants to check out the New Orleans night life and eye candy while Allie wants to stay boy free. They meet Levi and his friends who are more than happy to show them a good time. Jess ends up deciding she wants to head home and Allie's plans for a boy le [...]

    7. *I gave this Audiobook a C- for the book content and B+ for the narration at AudioGals*Flight, the first book in the Crescent Chronicles, is a Young Adult paranormal romance. As is typical of Young Adult romances, the intimate scenes are very tame and could easily be appropriate for listeners of junior high age on up. Additionally, the plot is mostly focused on the paranormal world and coming of age of issues, once again making this title suitable for almost all ages of romance readers. One area [...]

    8. I really enjoyed Flight and I'm super excited to see how the story will continue in the second book!!!The only thing I complain is that Allie pissed me sometimes she just keeps shutting Levi down admittedly he does something majorly wrong to her at the end of the book but I still was frustrated with Allie for the way she handled the situation.

    9. Maybe I missed a memo somewhere. Are all paranormal romance books 15% paranormal and 85% romance? It sure seems like it after the last few I’ve read, and I can’t say I like the trend. Flight is no different. While there are paranormal elements sprinkled in and some of the main characters are paranormal in nature, the feel of the book is almost entirely that of a YA/New Adult romance. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m perfectly fine with reading romance books, though I prefer to know how heavil [...]

    10. I don't know how to rate it. There were some big mistakes in the book some more beta reading could have avoided (transition missing. Example: they tell Alex and Tobby they won't see Levi and co anymore and next page, new chapter they're all doled up to go outside with them without any hint it would happen or they've been contacted or).I could not read/feel Levi at all. He obviously is hot but I can't go in his head and had not any clue he was so serious about her. Alli is also hard to read and c [...]

    11. Reading it with Alisa! :) yay!!! Had a huge head start for this cause she's a pretty fast robot. :O So I put off my other CR for this one! :) I hope this one is good! I don't really read the blurbs anymore. Um, yeah, cover snob. :o4.5 stars.Flight is an easy to read book. Just like the title, the flight is relatively easy, good and fast. I totally enjoyed it. I actually thought it'll be about werewolves since it was shelved in that category but NO, it was NOT about WEREWOLVES perse. It is about [...]

    12. Many spoilersrry.I did not like this book. Unfortunately this was not for me, maybe I am the wrong age group or perhaps I was swayed by my dislike of chauvinistic, cavemen badboys. This was a book about a girl who falls into the world of 'were-crows' while she is on a working holiday at her mega rich fathers hotel in New Orleans. Allie is smart, apparently, and she is not adverse to danger while at the same time remaining sensible and after a string of bad choices has decided to hate menSo why is [...]

    13. Allie thought spending the summer at her father's new hotel working would be the perfect opportunity to get acclimated to living on her own before college at Princeton started up that fall. She also thought she would be spending that summer man less. That is until she walks into her father’s hotel and locks eyes with a gorgeous guy. Yep, who was she kidding? Her summer was about to get a whole lot interesting.I have been on a roll lately reading some pretty awesome books and Flight was no diff [...]

    14. It was a pretty good read. The idea of the Pterons was new.Allie was also a very interesting character. She was capable of resisting Levi's charms.(view spoiler)[But not for long.It pissed me off that she fell for him so fast. (hide spoiler)]About Levi. the beginning I kind of liked him.He is so hot.*sigh*.But what he did in the end was really outrageous.I just wanted to slap him on the face for itRIOUSLY.I cannot say anything else without giving the plot away.Anyway I am curious to know what happ [...]

    15. Fast n easy readDifferent from other shifter books .I loved Allie's attitude even though she like attracted to Levi she fights knowing when she was lied and betrayed too.ough levi is hot n yummyi was sad to see he lied to allie like that.d i think anyone would have reacted like Alliei was seriously pissed and angry but oh well i also want to see how he woos her back and makes her to his side!It was definitely a fun read!I just hope everything goes good in next book :)Sri.

    16. Update 1: Okay, what are these guys?? The books title and the prologue obviously tell me they have wings, but why?? Are they Angels? Fairies? Some kind of were-birds?? (Please not birds please not birds PLEASE NOT BIRDS.I hate birds.) also, what kind of character name is Leviathan? And could he be more rapey?? We get it! Levi is attractive! And Allie is aware of being physically attracted to him. But she keeps expressing her disinterest but he keeps pursuing her relentlessly. And she's not even [...]

    17. Full review here: zodiacbookreviewsWhen Allie receives an invitation from her father to work in his new hotel in New Orleans, she sees it as a chance to experience something new before heading off to college. Allie is looking for a summer of adventure and excitement--what she gets may be more than she ever expected. After breaking up with her boyfriend before leaving for New Orleans, Allie swore off men. But when she catches the eye of Levi Laurent in the lobby of the Crescent City Hotel, everyt [...]

    18. The moment that I saw the book cover for Flight by Alyssa Rose Ivy, I knew I had to read this book. Within the first page I was completely pulled into the story and I could not put it down until I reached the end.Because of the title, Flight, I immediately thought that the book was going to be about angels and I was happily surprised to find out that Alyssa Rose Ivy had come up with a new and interesting paranormal creature that is all her own.In Flight you follow Allie as she heads down to New [...]

    19. I did a cover reveal for Flight and when I read the blurb I knew I had to read it. Lord was I not disappointed! Flight takes place in New Orleans and if any of you know New Orleans is beautiful. Hurricane Katrina tore it apart but the folks put it back together and most of the historic district was saved. While reading flight I kept picturing certain places in my mind and I am so glad I had those extra visuals because this book had me hooked from the very beginning. Allie has sworn off all guys [...]

    20. I'm flying right now!!I meanWOW!!! Flight's so much more than I've looking for yet expected from it. I even barely remember the sysnopsis before I started read it. Maybe I wanted something that unexpected without even peeking for it.And yeah this is paranormal romance story I've never had read before. Alyssa has brought me into a new story of the paranormal world and I believe this also an epic paranormal story even though there were more bout romances than the paranormal elements as I thought i [...]

    21. Three Stars: An interesting paranormal read with a lackluster romance.Allie is excited to settle into her summer job at her father's hotel in New Orleans before heading off to Princeton in the fall. Allie plans to enjoy her summer with her best friend without any romantic entanglements since she has sworn off guys. Her resolve is immediately tested when she catches the eye of a handsome stranger at the bar when she enters the hotel. Levi is handsome and charming and hiding a big secret. Will All [...]

    22. I really (almost) wish I hadn't started this book. Why you ask?Because, it is going to be an awful long wait until the next one is out and that, well, that just makes me sad. I didn't want this one to end.I wasn't ready for it to be over. I want more. More Levi, more Allie, Hailey, Owen, Jared. more of the story. What happens next? Do they make it? Where does their story go from here?So yeah, needless to say, I fell in love with the characters, the writing, the story, the whole thing.I loved the w [...]

    23. So I have only read one other of Alyssa' books *Derailed* which is a contemp book. We should all know by now that while those are not really "my thang" I do enjoy them every now and then. Derailed was Great! I thoroughly enjoyed it. So I thought hey I like the way this gal writes let's see how Flight is. So.Glad.I.Did this book was like Woah! That COVER could not be any more perfect! Every aspect of it fits in PERFECTLY!!Allie What a great female character! Pretty, smart, wealthy*but doesn't flau [...]

    24. Actual 2.5 stars. I was sucked in by the enticing cover and subject matter. The premise sounded great and to be fair had great potential however it was let down my some downright cringe-worthy dialogue and a lack of character and emotional development. At times I felt like I must have missed a few chapters as the relationship between Allie and Levi seemed to come out of thin air. A lot of their so called 'relationship' is skimmed over or we are 'told' certain things instead of being shown them. [...]

    25. Allie has just graduated and is about to start college. When her father invites her to spend the Summer working at his hotel in New Orleans, she jumps at the chance, partly to have some fun before college, and partly to get away from her ex-boyfriend. Allie drags her best friend off to New Orleans, determined to keep boys out of the picture. Then she meets Levi…Can she resist his charm and is she strong enough to handle the secret world he is involved in?I honestly struggled with this novel an [...]

    26. OMG ! I ABSOLUTELY LIKED/LOVED THISi thought this is about good girl/badboy relationship but NOPEand i didn't see it coming (view spoiler)[they are shifters :) (hide spoiler)]this is my first time to read about themso im still not familar to their kindand good god it got my attention fromthe very beginning till the endand absolutely a fast read for the first book of the series i will be waiting for the next book :)

    27. ***ARC received for review as part of blog tour***This is a very vague summary of the book that really doesn’t do the book justice. Luckily, this tag line “Sometimes you just have to take flight.” Caught my attention. Not to mention that gorgeous smoking hot cover! Allie takes her dad’s offer to work in his new hotel in New Orleans. To her, this is the perfect way to spend the summer with her best friend, Jess, before starting college later that year. After her latest lacking relationshi [...]

    28. Flight is the first book in The Crescent Chronicles by Alyssa Rose Ivy.From the moment I saw Flight and read an excerpt, I was anxious to get a hold of it but unfortunately it didn’t fully live up to my high expectations. The main protagonist Allie has her life planned out, she would attend Princeton, study business and follow in her fathers footsteps but it wasn’t what her heart wanted; it was something she was doing for her parents, when an opportunity arose for her to work in New Orleans a [...]

    29. Allie and her best friend Jess are spending their summer in New Orleans at her father's newly acquired hotel before they start their freshman year in college. Allie has everything planned out. She's attending Princeton in the fall, she has broken up with her boyfriend and sworn off guys, and she's ready for her summer adventure in New Orleans. The only thing she didn't plan on was Levi Laurent. Oh he's definitely hot, and he most definitely knows it. He's used to girls falling at his feet and Al [...]

    30. First I want to say I loved this book. When I first started reading it I was a little skeptical. I thought it was going to be a repeat of everything else out there but this book is different. It is a unique take on the paranormal world. I like how the author doesn't plunge you straight into the plot of the story, she teases you until the right moment. You don't really know what could be going on , ala paranormal, but you know something big is coming. When I read the book and found out what was g [...]
