    1. I was very disappointed in this book. It is written about crime, organized crime, and the corruption of the Stamford Police Dept. in the 70's - 80's. It spoke about the West Side of Stamford. I was born and raised on the West Side. I lived through those years spoken about. I thought there would have been more action and name dropping in this book. My memories are a better read than this book was. On the happier note, I am glad that the author found God.

    2. I enjoyed this book but probably because I could identify with the locations and some of the names. I was a teenager in the 70s and hung out a lot in Stamford. Amazing what I learned from this book. My husband is going to read it next and I mentioned it to a few friends that may recognize people and places.

    3. This book is not at all what the description says it is: an exposé of corruption in my home town of Stamford, CT. instead it is a self aggrandizing account of one police officer's experience on the Stamford police force with compliments to a reporter thrown in. Disappointing.
