    1. Title: FatedSeries: Serendipity (this book falls between Serendipity and Destiny)Author: Carly PhillipsGenre: ContemporaryKate Andews is the original rebound girl. But she has had enough and has vowed to never be someone’s second choice again. Unfortunately, her undeniably intense desire for Nick Mancini is testing her best laid plans because Kate has carried a torch for Nick since high school– but she’s always been permanently in the friend zone.Lately, Nick has definitely noticed Kate. 2. This review was posted at Under the CoversI have a lot of love for this series. Every character and story is always sweet and leaves me happy and with a sigh at the end. FATED was no different. Perfect for a quick mood pick up.Although I couldn’t really remember at first who Kate Andrews was, yes bad memory, I quickly caught on with some Twitter help. Kate was the one friend Faith had when returning to Serendipity. And she’s had a crush…, been in love, with Nick for a long time. Of course, [...]

    3. I can always count on a Carly Phillip's book to make me smile and fall in love with the characters! I thoroughly enjoyed this short story about two people, Nick and Kate, who finally come to terms with their feelings for one another and just dive right in, but not with some stubbornness and hesitation on Kate's part. Nate is a sexy, construction worker and Kate is a beautiful, school teacher. They have both been in love before but were young so they truly didn't know what real love felt like unt [...]

    4. This short, novella length format seems to suit Carly Phillips’ writing style. She managed to pack in enough character development to keep me invested in this couple's relationship and the story line didn't feel too rushed. Considering how short the story is and how much ground she needed to cover, I was impressed that nothing felt overly rushed, unless it's Nick's quick realization that time is running out! I like the way she writes down-to-earth, relatable characters with realistic dialogue. [...]

    5. Lee's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews4 StarsI have been waiting for Kate and Nick’s story ever since I started the Serendipity series and this short story didn’t disappoint at all.Nick has been circling Kate for months, trying to get her to see him as serious. Kate refuses to allow herself to open up to Nick and risk being hurt again. When Nick finally decides to risk it all and take a leap that could make or break his chances with Kate the chemistry between these two leaped o [...]

    6. In Fated, we finally get the story of Nick Mancini and Kate Andrews who have been dancing around each other since book one. I was so excited to finally get their story having read all of the books in this series so far, but I was a little disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s adorable, but I just wanted more!We met both of these characters in book one, Serendipity. Kate’s attraction to Nick is hinted at; she’s had a crush on him for years. But Nick used to date Kate’s best friend Fait [...]

    7. I'm really getting into this series and I'm really coming to love the people of Serendipity. This short story follows Nick Mancini and Kate Andrews as they finally get to their happy ending. Even though I thought this book was too short, I still enjoyed it.If you read the other books in this series then you'll remember Nick from Ethan and Faith's story. He was the contractor that helped Faith with her store but he's also Faith's high school sweetheart who tried to get at her again when she poppe [...]

    9. Blue Ribbon Rating: 4 out of 5Original Review LinkAfter a disastrous romance gone bad, Kate Andrews swore she’d never again be second best to a man again. Unfortunately, she’s undeniably attracted to Nick Mancini, a man who never even noticed Kate until her best friend fell in love with someone else. Now Nick’s pursuing Kate with a vengeance and she’ll have to decide whether she’s brave enough to risk her heart on the chance that she and Nick are fated to be together. Some couples are j [...]

    10. I read Serendipity, the first book in this series, just before downloading this short little e-novella. I really enjoyed the full length novel, and although it was nice to get back to the people of Serendipity, Fated didn't really grab me, mainly due to the hero.Kate Andrews is Faith's best friend, who was the heroine of book one. We met Kate back then too and I really liked her character, she was a good friend to Faith, especially when things got a bit rough. So I was a little disappointed to f [...]

    11. Loved Nick and Kate's story! So worth the wait. I’ve been asking for Kate and Nick’s story since I met them in Serendipity. I have to say Carly Phillips totally delivers a fun and sexy story with Fated. I was lucky enough to get an early copy through NetGalley thanks to the publisher.Kate has been burned in the past by a boyfriend, so she isn’t ready to trust Nick when he repeatedly ask her out. Especially since he had showed signs of having feelings for his high school girlfriend, Faith, [...]

    12. In Fated we return to the town of Serendipity as two characters in the series get their chance to fall in love. Kate and Nick have had their eye on each other for quite some time. However, Nick once dated Kate's best friend Faith in high school. He tried to rekindle their romance, but Faith had her eye on the main character of book one in the series, Ethan Barron. Faith and Ethan fell in love in that book and are now together. Although Nick didn't really notice Kate before, he does now and he lo [...]

    13. Kate Andrews (hs teacher) and Nick Mancini (builder) went to school together though Nick was in love with her best friendey broke up and 10 years later, when her friend came back, Nick flirted a bit but Faith is in love with Ethan, and Nick realizes with an experimental kiss, that he doesn't feel anything for herd then when the four of them are working on Faith's shop, he sees Kate in a stream of sunlight, and realizes where his heart ishe spends months trying to get close to Kate, only to be to [...]

    14. My Review:I really love this little town of Serendipity and because we already know the characters and the setting, I think that this little novella works really well. Nick and Kate have felt the draw to each other for a while, but Nick made a HUGE error along the way. He made a play at Faith when she came back to town simply because they'd been involved with each other during high school. Now Kate, who is Faith's best friend, feels like he isn't over his feeling for Faith. She played second fid [...]

    15. Like everyone else, I've been anxiously waiting for Nick and Kate's story. We were introduced to them in book 1, Serendipity, and have been watching them dance around each other ever since.Fated is a quick read. The build up to Nate and Kate's romance has been building up for 3 books. Kate is relationship shy due to a bad relationship in the past. She doesn't want to be second choice and she feels that when it comes to Nate, she is. Nate and Faith (heroine from Serendipity) dated in high school [...]

    16. FatedSerendipity Book 1.75By Carly PhilipsThis novella centers on Kate and Nick. Kate has always been the rebound girl, second choice and left behind. For a long time she has had a crush on Nick but he has never seemed to notice her until now but she has a hard time believing his intentions are noble. Carly Philips has created a cute romance, being a novella it is a quick read yet still highly entertaining. Even though this is an entertaining book I felt that the romance was lacking, maybe it is [...]

    17. Carly Phillips does it again with this short visit to Serendipity. I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait for January to get here. Kate and Nick's story was so sweet. I love how they came together, knowing where they were coming from. This is a story of going after what you want, friendship and love. I wish it was longer. We first meet Kate and Nick in Serendipity, the first book of the series and I was rooting for them since then. It is hard to love someone and be too scared to tell or s [...]

    18. It's always nice to visit a town where love is in the air and hot men are on every corner. I want to find Serendipity and move there. The humor is never-ending, the sex is great and (this can't be said enough) hotties abound. I've visited Serendipity before with other characters and so returning to the little town with the big heart was an easy enough choice, even if the story is just a novella (which can be quite hit-or-miss).Carly Phillips knows how to spin a sweet tale of love where there's a [...]

    19. Review featured on books-n-kissesThis is a very short but very sweet novella. It is only about 25 pages but worth the read. I have not read the rest of the Serendipity series (I want to though) so I was unsure if this would be confusing but it is not at all. Yes you can tell there is a full story about Faith and Ethan that involves Nick but this is such a sweet story that it doesn’t matter. You won’t be confused but you will be delighted to read it.Disclaimer:I received a complimentary copy [...]

    20. Kate Andrews is attracted to Nick Mancini but refuses to be his "rebound" girlfriend. He was her best friend Faith's boy-friend in high school and he tried to renew their relationship when Faith came back home. It was a half-hearted effort and he realized Faith wasn't for him. Nick enlists Faith's help to kidnap Kate for an overnight date after Kate has turned him down over and over. Kate finally realizes Nick is for real and she's not just one of his one-night stands.

    21. Sweet book, just a little shorty book that followed through with the story of Nick and Kate from Serendipity. She's Faith's best friend and he's Faith's high school boyfriend. Kate doesn't believe Nick is over Faith, and it's up to Nick to prove that he is. It's a sweet, short story, and I wish there had been a bit more, but I can definitely see why it was kept as short as it was. I enjoyed it.

    22. Kate AndrewsNick ManciniI am really loving this series more and more with each story. The amazing thing is you don't just fall in love with the main characters, you love the secondary characters too and it's great to see them get a chance to have their happily ever after too. 4 Stars

    23. This is a very cute novella. It felt a bit short, perhaps because we've been anticipating Nick and Kate's story for so long. I enjoyed it, but if you haven't read any of the other books in the series, I would recommend starting with another. You won't be confused by what's going on in the novella, but other books might be a better introduction to Ms. Phillips' writing.

    24. The backstory for Kate and Nick was revealed in Serendipity, and I think I would have preferred to have this novella released around the same time period. While Fated was a short, quick read, it was nice to see Kate get her happily-ever-after with the man she's been in love with for such a very long time.

    25. heh a Novella on Nick and Kate with appearances by Faith, Tess, and Ethan - yes please.A cute little story on Kate and Nick finally getting together. Loved it and would have finished it in one sitting if I hand't been so exhausted.

    26. Great for a finish off novelPersonally I always wondered what happened to Kate. Having read all the other Serendipity novels I am glad to have closure. Make sure you read all her prior novels in this series and you will love this one.

    27. a separate novella was unnecessary as the book was so short! i wanted more background more interaction to see how their rship blossomed through the years. instead i felt like i skipped the beginning and headed straight to the climax of the story.

    28. I'm just starting this series and I love it I can't wait to finish. I've read Fated, Kisemt and Serendipity and I'm so excited to start Destiny. F.Y.I Fated should be read after Serendipity and kismet.;-)
