    1. I am so mad I paid €10.85 ($14.96) for this book! It seriously is the laziest, most uninspired thing I've read this year, possibly my whole life.It had awesome reviews and a beautiful cover (I'll never learn) so of course, I just had to have itThose 0,5 stars are for the book's cover, which is really pretty.I've never even encountered a book which made such a mess of the plot, featured way too many POVs, went back and forward in time (sometimes within the same chapter!) and still managed to be [...]

    2. Willa was working when she suddenly felt a strong presence. She did not know what it was. That is until she meets Simon. From that moment on neither Willa nor Simon can stand to be alone without each other for very long. Willa has a secret. She can see ghosts and talk to them. So when a ghost reaches out to Willa for help she can not refuse. Now there is the matter of telling Simon her secret. Blood Moon is the first book in the Moonlight Trilogy series. I have to tell you that if you like fanta [...]

    3. I really should have stopped reading this after the first paragraph. I only continued because I'm reading it for a book club. This is nothing more than an imitation "Twilight." It has all your typical young adult features, the young female protagonist who is beautiful and has unique and powerful talents/abilities; a big showdown between good and evil.I found the writing to be very boring and it really wasn't that well written. The romance parts were SO cheesey. Dialogue between characters was un [...]

I will say that I didn't find it horrible and completely unappealing. There wouldn't have been a review here if that was the case. Not only because this is a blog your but because on my blog I like to think that my reviews help people find new books. How would you find new books to LOVE if all I gave you guys was bad reviews? Ya not really possible [...]

    5. After reading the first chapter, I thought I was going to hate this book. First there was an info dump where I felt like I needed to be taking notes. Then, there was a gag worthy, love-at-first-sight romance. The author's writing also grated on me.However, the book did improve. The romance moved aside from being the main focus and other characters were introduced. I actually liked how the author weaved the story together. (Although there were many, many times where I wished more was explained or [...]

    6. Willa has been able to see ghosts from a very young age and dreams of true events her best friend Solace is a ghost whom she meant at the Museum where she volunteers. Simon has the gift of healing people with just a touch and has the ability to sense others emotions and intentions. Simon started his new job at the diner as a cook where Willa works, and the sparks literally began to fly between the two when he walked through the door. When Simon touched her shoulder Willa immediately felt the hea [...]

    7. I just finished reading BLOOD MOON a few hours ago and I am still caught up in Twelve Acres, CO and it's beginnings. It took me 4.5 hours to read. Teri Harman does a wonderful job with an original take on witches. At the end I am so intrigued and want to know where she will take us in book 2. I've read my fair share of witch novels and I would compare her to Anne Rice and her MAYFAIR WITCHES series. Although here I find a richer story and no unnecessary garbage. The beginning paragraph drew me i [...]

    8. I would probably give this book 4.5 stars. I loved it. The first chapter I thought I may lose interest, because I thought it may turn out to be some cheesy love story, but it grabbed me and I could not put it down.

    9. I received Blood Moon in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by Jolly Fish Press. Willa has always been different from seeing ghosts to having dreams that later happen she’s always felt alone. When a handsome stranger shows up at the dinner she’s working at sparks fly more than the phrase they each feel the electricity drawing them together. At first they both attempt to keep their secrets hidden away until Simon is put to the test and must save a puppy from an accident but [...]

    10. I think this book had a lot of great things going for it, but there was a lot of potential that I feel never got unlocked. There were also a few issues for me that I was never able to get over. Blood Moon follows a young witch named Willa, who instantly falls in love with another undiscovered witch, Simon. They are both extremely unique in their abilities. Through the course of the novel, we see them rescue a witch who's being tortured by a Dark Witch, and then they join their powers and courage [...]

    11. An enjoyable read from debut author Teri Harman. The story focuses on two young people, 18 yr. old Willa Fairfield and 19 yr. old Simon Howard. Both have unusual abilities that they have kept hidden and which have isolated them growing up. The historical past of the small town of Twelve Acres holds many mysteries for Willa to uncover. Simon and Willa are thrust into a world they know nothing about as they rescue a woman being tortured. Not only do they discover the victim is a Witch but she reve [...]

    12. A whirlwind of magical adventure, a touch of romance, and a slice of creepiness. My summary: Willa and Simon have grown up feeling out of touch with society because of a magic housed deep inside them - Willa's sees ghosts and dreams future events and Simon feels others emotions and can heal with a touch. It isn't until a chance meeting in Willa's hometown, Twelve Acres, that the two teens find out that they are actually witches. As an unexplained and powerful magic pull them together, they have [...]

    13. I received this book as an ARC copy to read before publication. From the description on it seemed like something I would enjoy tremendously. I really like how the author started out. Teri kept my interest and I was excited to read more about the characters. Then, the time changes started happening. I really have no problem reading a book that switches between times. As an avid reader, I have the ability to keep characters in my head in the places where they come into a story. However, the time [...]

    14. 'Blood Moon' is the first book in a young adult paranormal series that follows lead characters Willa and Simon. The book details how Simon and Willa meet and immediately are bound to one another. Willa has the ability to dream about events that really happen as well as seeing and being able to communicate with ghosts, while Simon is a healer and can sense other people's emotions. Now that they have found each other, Willa and Simon are able to rescue a witch being held prisoner across town and c [...]

    15. I don't like witchcraft books or bloody violence, but I have to say the author has written a very compelling book. She does just enough character development in the beginning to carry you through the whirlwind plot. I love that there's no sexual activity (It's for teens and so many teen books have sexual activity. I really respect and admire this author for leaving it out of a novel where there's tons of chemistry between the main couple). The only swear word is "Hell," used in anger several tim [...]

    16. I really liked they way Jody, did her review of this book, so I am using her words. Willa has been able to see ghosts from a very young age and dreams of true events her best friend Solace is a ghost whom she meant at the Museum where she volunteers. Simon has the gift of healing people with just a touch and has the ability to sense others emotions and intentions. Simon started his new job at the diner as a cook where Willa works, and the sparks literally began to fly between the two when he wal [...]

    17. I started reading this book because Teri Harman is a family friend. I am highly recommending this book because I absolutely LOVED it! If you like paranormal, fantasy, or mystery, you will so love this book!

    18. In short, Teri's book is gripping. It's a story that you honestly cannot help but keep reading till the very end. Willa's story is one that keeps you on the edge of your seat, wide-eyed, and biting your nails in anticipation. An absolutely spectacular and unique tale of witches never before told!

    19. Meh. I really wanted to like this book. It didn't keep my attention and the writing felt all over the place and patchy

    20. Oh, sweet baby mama of Jesus. THIS BOOK. So, I was expecting to like it. Obviously. I wouldn't have accepted the review request or chosen to read it otherwise. Butholy snap, y'all. I loved this book! So much. I think part of my happiness is timing--I've been wanting to re-read my Secret Circle books for a while now, and then I had this sitting in my stack of books and pulled it out andwow. Just wow.My dearest Teri Harman, YOU are a wonderful human being for writing this book. The beginningyoujus [...]

    21. The Basics:Willa and Simon, both undiscovered witches, have always felt isolated by their magical abilities, until the day they meet, when that same magic knits them instantly together. But magical love comes with magical risks. Willa’s clairvoyance leads them to other witches like themselves, who are under attack by a group of Dark witches and in desperate need of their help. The Downside:The destined-to-be quality of Willa and Simon’s relationship, and their relationship with the other witc [...]

    22. Blood Moon (The Moonlight Trilogy) Teri Harman ARC supplied by author. This is a YA trilogy. I'm not usually a YA reader but there are some such as Stephanie Meyer, Samantha Young, Kelly Armstrong and Kim Harrison that I've enjoyed and reading the sample of Blood Moon it had that same well written and not “dumbed down” feel that those authors works do. Its set in the town of Twelve Aces which has in the past been home to a coven of witches who practised Light magic. Now however its ostensibl [...]

    23. On a summer night at the Twelve Acres Diner, Willa Fairfield meets the man of her dreams. But the sparks between her and newcomer Simon are more than simple attraction; they’re a real electric charge, a jolt of powerful energy vibrating between them.Willa has never been exactly . . . normal. From a young age, she has been able to perceive the spirits of the dead that haunt Twelve Acres. Yet she has never experienced anything like the irresistible force that pulls her to Simon, and Simon to her [...]

    24. For more of my reviews, visit Books For YA!Blood Moon by Teri Harman is an exciting paranormal fantasy novel full of witches, spells and romance. This is a story that will show you the long history of rivalry between the Light and the Dark witches and their never-ending fight for supremacy. Both Willa and Simon have a secret that they have never shared with anyone before; Willa can see and communicate with ghost and Simon can sense emotions and heal wounds and illnesses. When they met each other [...]

    25. Blood Moon (Moonlight Trilogy #1) by Teri Harman is about Willa and Simon who are undiscovered witches. The first time they meet each other; their magic binds them together because they are soul mates. Willa dreams about another witch named Wynter being held captive in a basement. Simon and Willa rescue Wynter and she tells them that they are witches. Simon and Willa go with Wynter in order to learn more about who they are and so Wynter and the other Light witches can help train them. The Dark w [...]

    26. Blood Moon by Terri Harman is a great read, especially considering the season! I enjoyed Simon and Willa’s story, and the take on witches that Harman has used. Her research and world building is really well done, and you are told the facts as you need them, letting you accumulate the information at the same time (or a bit before) the two main characters. The book does have some flashbacks, which were a little hard at first for me personally, but after the first couple you get into the rhythm o [...]

    27. Willa has always felt different. As long as she can remember, she can sense and even speak to the ghosts she feels all around her, and as long as she can remember, she has had to hide that part of herself. Simon has also always felt different, his ability to read minds and heal injuries a secret he kept in order not to be shunned by others who just wouldn't understand. When Willa and Simon meet, it is like a homecoming, the sudden sense of belonging with each other. As they become closer, they s [...]

    28. Not every book you pick up that has witches in it will sit well with a real life one. Some are over the top, others are just full of stereotypes and cliches. There is nothing as boring as reading about the same ol' same ol' just with new names and different places. Teri manages to skip the cliches and creates an amazing debut novel.Since this is the first book in the series, you can only hope that we get to see more of Willa and Simon. Teri has done an excellent job at crafting her characters. T [...]

    29. Two weeks after high school graduation, he walks into Willa’s life, the boy who gets into her blood like a fever. But Willa barely has a chance to mention Simon to Solace, her best ghost friend, before they’re swept up into kidnapping, murder, and the dangerous hidden world of witchcraft. As Willa and Simon discover their quirks are actually powerful gifts, they have to decide whether to join a True Coven and fight the darkness or simply walk (run!) away, turning their backs on who—and wha [...]

    30. I'd give this a solid 3.5 stars. The best thing about the book is the plot and action; it moves along really well and is nicely paced. I could tell Harman is a big fan of witch stories; this is very witch-centered. (There are some books out there that have witches or magic, but those elements are not necessarily the whole point of the story; in this case, they really are.) So I definitely recommend this for witch-story fans. It should be very satisfying for them. She also does really well making [...]
