    1. Reviewed at Bitten By Paranormal RomanceI admit - it took me awhile to catch on to the Fallen World. There is a Glossary and Family Tree at the end of the book; which should be read BEFORE starting to read this book. Even so, I still struggled with their vernacular and hierarchy until I was about half-way through with reading the book. The Kindred are a very interesting world of three distinctive sects/houses of the Fallen. All of whom have an interest in Serenity and some of their intentions ar [...]

    2. Check out the book tour and giveaway at my blog, Click here to go to the post. Read and excerpt too.For Mature readers only, has some explicit sex scenes.I actually really loved this book. I was not even sure what to expect when I signed up for this tour, the cover alone drew me in, and got me interested when I designed the tour button, so because of the cover alone, I went and looked it up to see what it was about. I was intrigued right away after reading the blurb.I will admit, I am still a li [...]

    3. Where to i start with this book, well let me tell you this book will stay with me for this year and will be in my top reads for 2013.Yes i was that impressed with this Unique and exciting book it was such a refreshing change. The storyline is very captivating and the words just flow from page to page i wasn't bored once with the pace of this book, this is a very very well written story. The character's are just amazing from one kick ass female to a sexy ass male and all the back characters, you rea [...]

    4. Kindred Fallen by Isis RushdanWow, is the first word out of my mouth as I read Kindred Fallen, a fantastic story birthed by Isis Rushdan. What is there in Kindred Fallen not to love or appreciate? It invigorates the gray matter, emotions of love, security, commitment, honesty and sacrifices to correct wrongs on spiritual and physical realms. The dynamic power of various energies are intertwined and in my opinion possesses the state of oneness or completion since as humans we are beings of both p [...]

    5. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.I was hooked from the first sentence onward. I'm a slow reader and I finished this book in about two sittings. The storyline was captivating, writing was decent and the characters were intriguing. I loved the idea of a soul reading tattoo artist, soul mates, and the bonus of people with wings. There's lots of fighting and a couple sex scenes (yes, one does shatter glass). The writing wasn't the best I'd seen, but wow, I loved th [...]

    6. When reviewing a book, I always look for that one sentence that stands out from the rest. That stays in your mind for hours, if not days, to come. This sentence was it for me.I was pleasantly surprised to find that another author out there has remembered that there are literally thousands of other mythologies to choose from and write about aside from vampires and werewolves. Don’t get me wrong, I love those parties dearly. But they seem to be everywhere these days.Serenity is a young woman who [...]

    7. Serenity Shaw is a woman who can read anyone's soul and use that knowledge to create unique one of a kind tattoos. Despite her gift she struggles with finding lasting human connections with people and finding a place where she feels she belong. She has only two friends. Dougie Alexander her business partner in their tattoo shop and Evan Wade her fiancé. Serenity has known Evan most of her life and became engaged to him mostly out of a sense of loyalty to him than for love. During a tattoo consu [...]

    8. So my feelings run pretty hot and cold on this one. It's such an interesting premise. I was excited by this new twist mythology and was interested in reading about a tattoo artist who used a supernatural gift to create the perfect tattoo for her clients. The world of the Kindred is amazing and although I'm still not clear on some of the details, I love the creativity that went into it all -- I mean, hello, blue angelic beings!!!There's also a great blend of mystery and action in KINDRED OF THE F [...]

    9. I absolutely LOVED this book. The Kindred world that Isis paints is so intricate, full of mystery. She did a great job with the different names and houses there existed. So glad she added a glossary at the end!! It was pretty neat how she used Egyptian mythology. Sort of reminded me of the movie the Fifth Element, which also had Egyptian themes and of creatures that had existed thousands of years ago, and the one thing that would save humanity and the world (well, in the case of the book it's th [...]

    10. I got a free copy of this book, in exchange of an honest review and for participating in the blog tour.Firstly I would like to thank the author, the publisher and the tour organiser for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book.Ah! It was a pleasant surprise for me. I really didn’t expect this book to be such awesome and I was really surprised when I finished it. I loved the characterization and all the characters were fully flourished and developed except the lead [...]

    11. More at my blog: Scrollin' Them PapersReading this book was such an interesting experience. Imagine getting yourself thrown in a world where the continuity of a whole race was suddenly on your shoulder. Where you found that you were not even human and suddenly every name you learned sounded either Egyptian or Greek. Well that's exactly what happened to Serenity. Oh wait, she also found her "soulmate". Well, while things might sound cliche to you guys, the settings were actually fresh and new to [...]

    12. This book artfully blends the worlds of human and Kindred so well that humans are totally unaware of the Kindred. Kindred are something akin to fallen angels in concept - descendants of powerful beings who became to greedy for even more power. Their creator punished them and the yet the cycle repeated itself. The Kindred were created - each containing half a soul from the punished, with the only way to end the curse by reuniting with the other half of their original soul.Ms. Rushdan did a nice j [...]

    13. I liked the story and will check out the next in the series, The pacing was good and I wanted to find out what was going to happen. I didn't like that at times Cyrus came off kind of stalkerish and pretty pushy. He seemed to have a double standard out of Serenity. I also didn't like that it seemed Serenity had to give up everything and do things Cyrus' way, of course Cyrus didn't seem to have a choice in what to do with his life either. This seems negative, but there were a number of times where [...]

    14. You know what? Life's too short to read books where you repeatedly want to slam a main character in the head with a table leg until they have no more blood left to bleedThis book was relatively well-written, and I enjoyed the pretence. HOWEVER, OH MY GOD THE CHARACTERS! 90% of them I wanted to murder - the only one that I didn't was Cassian, and he's a pretty minor character. I got almost three quarters of the way through this book before I realised that there was a second book, and the thought [...]

    15. Set in contemporary New York, author Isis Rushdan had penned her book, Kindred of the Fallen, with solid characters, lots of thrills and heart-warming romance. I have always loved reading angels stories and this book was a fascinating read. The mythology was quite baffling and beyond comprehension; I figured I’m going to have read this book again to understand everything, yet the plot was well put together and the narration was perfect without too much unnecessary metaphors and such. In conclu [...]

    16. Nice and original but not life altering.I enjoyed reading Kindred of the Fallen but I kept expecting more I didn´t feel like I HAD to stay awake all night to finish it.I felt that Cyprus and Serenity´s relatioship is not that deep. I had the impression it was more about dependency than real feeling, I mean they are in love after 3 or 4 days it´s like so obsesssion. The other charaters (Talus, Abaddon, Evan) didn´t feel deep enough. They had history but they didn´t feel real enough in my opi [...]

    17. A well written paranormal, New Adult/Adult story. Characters were descriptive and interacted well. This is part one of a series and although the author has written an excellent book it just didn't engage me as deeply as other books in this genre - maybe I've been spoiled by other authors who've covered this area so well before.
