    1. It took awhile for me to get into the book but Murphy's own explanation into his progression into his mental illness and the trial and explanation of insanity versus mental illness made it a great read.

    2. A weird and particularly unpleasant homicide in Sarasota gets a VERY detailed treatment in this book. So detailed that I was surprised that the trial was dealt with so succinctly; there were so few pages left I was expecting a last minute plea deal.

    3. Very good writing about what happened to an innocent woman who was working alone in her art gallery, when she was attacked by a deranged man. The story was a bit too graphic, at times, especially when it included a picture of the poor victim splayed naked for the world to see; I though that was disrespectful. Otherwise, this was an intriguing true crime read.

    4. I have to give this one a five-star since I am the DNA analyst that did the testing in this case! One of the stranger cases I have worked on and it was pretty fascinating to read Murphy's account of how and why this horrible crime took place.
