    1. There up on the top shelf, the green-eyed doll, the only clean, pure thing in the trailer sat. He’d lock his gaze on her porcelain face and pretend she was real……Mama had been right all along. He did want to fuck the doll. This is another one of those books I couldn’t resist. A woman on the run and a serial killer? Please. I had to read it! Everything about this book, from the blurb, to the story line, to the “creep” factor reminded me of an episode of Criminal Minds (minus Penelope) [...]

    2. I love a romantic suspense book that has you guessing until the end. This was one of those books. When I read the blurb I got a little excited. It sounded like a really good book. Turns out, it didn’t do it justice. It was an awesome book. Catherine is a survivor. She survived a marriage that was full of abuse, verbal, emotional and physical. She’s lived her life going from place to place only staying in one place two to three months before moving on. She’s in “small town Texas” when s [...]

    3. The Green-Eyed Doll is a romantic thrill ride. Jerrie Alexander manages to keep you guessing about the killer and build a heart stopping love story. The characters of Matt and Catherine are so beautifully written I could read their love story over and over. The added excitement of the killer and Matt and Catherine’s problematic histories just enhanced the emotions of the book. With Matt and Catherine’s happily ever after all I could hope for was that a few of the other characters got their o [...]

    4. I quite liked that the bad guy was really creepy and pretty sick, made a good bit of suspense and added a layer of darkness. But the romance fell a little flat for me and some of it was predictable.

    5. This review can also be found on my blog.Catherine McCoy is a woman with many secrets. She’s running from her past, always on the move and never in one place for long. Never long enough for people to get close to her that they might get nosy enough to dig into her past. After the verbal and physical abuse she suffered in her marriage, she’s weary of men and intimacy, until Sheriff Matt Ballard shows an interest in her. He makes her feel things she doesn’t want to feel, but she can’t resi [...]

    6. Catherine McCoy arrives in small-town Texas hoping to be under the radar. Her past has taught her trust no one, keep to herself, and move along once you become comfortable. Her first moment in a new town though ends with her being pulled over by new Sheriff Matt Ballard, Matt doesn’t quite know what to make of the skittish woman but there is a connection even if she rapidly tries to deny it.Catherine forms an unusual friendship with Matt all the while trying to keep him at a distance. Matt tho [...]

    7. THE GREEN EYED DOLL is a super romantic suspense novel. Your heart will jump into your throat at the first words. It will ache with the heroine's predicament. When Catherine and Sheriff Matt meet, your heart will swell with anticipation at the possibility of their love. These are good people who have both been hurt and because of those hurts should want nothing to do with each other. But we all know the heart will have what it will have. With one of the scariest villains I've ever read and a won [...]

    8. Great romantic suspense that hit all the right buttons for me. Strong hero, likable heroine, tortured pasts, good lovin' and a creepy as hell villain with a thing for dolls.

    9. I liked the plot and the hunting for the killer, it was hard to keep up with all the names but overall I liked the story.

    10. ’m going to come right out and say it: serial killers fascinate me. Not in a way that I’m cheering them on (Unless that serial killer happens to be named “Dexter Morgan”) but that the psychology behind them is an endless maze of intrigue to me. Which is why I immediately requested to read this book. The book begins with a look inside the killer’s thoughts as he revisits his childhood home (a trailer out in the Middle-of-Nowhere, Texas) after his mother (a woman who should never have bee [...]

    11. When I was contacted by Jerrie Alexander to read and review The Green-Eyed Doll, I wasn’t sure what to expect as I was not familiar with her or her work. I gave it a try as I was interested in the blurb even though the whole porcelain doll thing freaked me out a littlelolbut Jerrie assured me that it was still a love story. So I gave it a try. I was so surprised at how much I absolutely loved this story and how quickly I was wrapped up in it. I really liked reading the different points of view [...]

    12. The Green Eyed Doll by Jerrie AlexanderCatherine was on the run from her past when she rolled into town. Matt had already ran from his past and was now a small town sheriff. Their hearts collide but will they be able to put their fears aside and trust each other with their secrets? The killer believes Catherine will be his perfect green eyed doll. Will Matt be able to find the killer before he gets to Catherine? The hunt is on during one of the worst droughts that Texas has ever seen and time is [...]

    13. 4.5 Drops The Green-Eyed Doll begins with two people, both trying to run from their pasts, and failing miserably. When Catherine arrives in Butte Crest, TX she’s running from an abusive past and her decision to protect herself. Before she knows it, she’s attracted the attention and interest of the small town Sherriff.Sherriff Matt Ballard is running too, but from a failed mission and the loss of his partner. When he stops someone for a traffic violation one day, the last thing he expected wa [...]

    14. On the surface, you might think this is the basic romantic suspense thriller with deranged bad guy, and a hero and heroine who just meet, and of course the said deranged bad guy goes after the heroine who the hero must save. Ba-boom. Done. That’s what we read romantic thrillers for, right? These key ingredients, and I’d read it and be satisfied. And don’t get me wrong, The Green-Eyed Doll has all that, but it’s so much more. For one, the baddie, is creepy as all get-out, yet the identity [...]

    15. This was one of those 'can't put it down' reads for me. You better be sure I'll be walking in well lit areas for a while. Jerrie Alexander can write one creepy bad guy!! The romance between Catherine and Matt was intense and lovely at the same time. This book is going on my keeper shelf. I can't wait to see more from this author!!

    16. Creepy, suspense filled with a bit of saucey romanceAwesome crime mystery with just bit of Romance with major hot alpha males!! Kick ass female main charecter that is strong not a Scarlett cat. Highly recommended!!

    17. Ms. Alexander has messed me up! Creeped-out one minute, swooning the next. I can't wait for the next one!

    18. I have to admit that this is my first Jerrie Alexander book but it most certainly will not be the last. I was sucked in immediately by the characters in this book and couldn't stop reading until I found out what happened to them -- I was seriously invested in the outcome. Catherine and Matt make a great couple and there are some fantastic supporting characters as well.If you enjoy romantic suspense and you haven't read this book (or haven't read Jerrie Alexander), you must drop whatever you are [...]

    19. Actual Rating: 3.5 StarsThis book was a little hard to get into at the beginning, mainly because the writing style and narration felt stilted and awkward to me. There was even a whole lot of cheese and drama that felt felt fairly unnatural. The characters were typical, category romance standard types with a broody male with alpha tendencies and a speshul Mary Sue who doesn't know how beautiful she is--the kicker, I honestly buy the reasons why she's so under-confident and squeamish around people [...]

    20. The app hates me! I wrote my review twice and both times the app stopped on me. I'm on my computer this time :) Third times the charm right? Catherine's past seems to catch up with her wherever she goes. She is just trying to settle in somewhere and start a new. But no matter where she ends up, her past comes back and all she can do is run. That's all she's been doing since it happened. Now, she's come to a new town. Just like before, she's going to try and stay as long as she can. In the back [...]

    21. Shey's review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews4 StarsI have to admit I have read some amazing romantic suspense books this year and this is one of them. Jerrie Alexander is a new author to me and after reading The Green Eyed Doll I will be anxiously waiting for her other books to come out. When his mother dies and leaves him the rundown trailer where he was beaten and abused the only thing he wants is the green-eyed doll that sat on the shelf. It was all that kept him sane in the nightmare [...]

    22. After reading the synopsis for The Green-Eyed Doll I knew it'd be right up my alley. Woman on the run from a troubled past? Check. Sexy Sheriff? Check. Crazy killer? Double check. And when I read the prologue and realized that we got to see into the killers head? I was hooked!Catherine is a woman on the run when she ends up in a small town in Texas. She's had the same MO for the past year Stop in a new town, stay for a few months to make enough money for the next time her past catches up to her, [...]

    23. Holy Moly this is an awsome book. I Loved Jerrie's Lost and Found series and this looked like another great read.Catherine survived a marriage made in hell. It was emotionally, verbally and physically abusive. She escaped but her ex found her and she ended up killing him in self defence. Now she’s drifting from town town, moving on when someone eventually recognises her. Now in Texas, she's down to her last 100 or so bucks and her car is not exactly working well. Then she gets pulled over by t [...]

    24. Small little Texas town harbors one sick twisted killer. Whenever we got his POV a certain scene from the movie Mommy Dearest kept running through my head. Read it, you’ll understand  While the killer is taking victims, a stranger rolls into town. Catherine McCoy is running from her past. When she realizes she is running low on cash she decides to look for a job to save up some cash before moving on. On her first day into town she is pulled over by the Sheriff and this result in them formin [...]

    25. Read this if you already read the book. What hooked me into reading the story is the suspense i really wanted to find out who the killer is i have initial guesses and crashed them out one by one as the story progressed and it turned out one of my suspects is the killer. Due to my past experiences in reading stories like these, it was likely that people who are less harmful are the mysterious antagonist in the story. so when i found out that D was the killer, i was like "A-HAH!I KNEW IT!". and i [...]

    26. Okwhat to say about this book I won this book in one of the giveaways a while back, but it got lost in my many to read. Let me tell you, I'm glad I decided to finally read it. It's a dark and twisted book in a very good way. It had me on the edge of my seat. I loved the heat, passion and romance between Catherine and Sheriff Matt Ballard, but all the while I kept wondering how he would take it when the truth came about her past. i was in shock when the author had him walk away. What? He was sup [...]

    27. One of the best suspense book of 2012. The book keeps you guessing till the end the identity of the murderer. The plot is well executed and the characters are well developed. Catherine and Matt comes with badges. Both are hiding their past from the other which is slowly revealed as the story progresses. The story starts with Catherine coming to the new town where Matt is the sheriff. The chemistry between them is explosive. There's attraction which results in love. But nothing lasts long when th [...]
