    1. This is an outstanding book on work redesign. I read for my research as I'm looking at motivation. At the time of the writing, 1980, there were few empirical studies to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the theory, however, the theory has a sound in rationale. When there are any challenges to job motivation, a review of this theory ought to be considered in redesign.
