    1. This was such an amazing story. I love the story line and the history behind the story. Amanda is such a brilliant writer. I can't wait to read Brides of the storm.

    2. This is "A Galveston Hurricane Mystery" called Echoes of the Storm by Amanda Albright Stillok #1From the beginning of this story when Daria Gallagher remembers so much that happened from the big 1900 storm that devastated the island and so many lives were lost, I found this character to be one I wanted to know more aboute felt so many emotions as she remembered the waters rising and the homes tumbling off their footings. So much death and the smells of it.Now she has been summoned to the morgue [...]

    3. This was a fast and fun book. There were paranormal activities, Russian intrigue, and lots of history presented in a way that made it feel so real.

    4. Once you got past the awkwardness of a new author and small publisher then tg e storyline was great.I liked how the main character Dash is more than a pretty face. The characters were all over the board but you got a good sense of who each was and what Dash felt about them.Glad there is a second one. I love stories about Galveston.

    5. I skimmed most of the last few chapters, as I did not like the language, the loose ends, and got tired of the book. I wanted to know the ending, but finally gave up. Just couldn't finish it.

    6. I live in a tiny town in East Texas and love anything that has anything to do with Galveston and it's history!! I enjoyed this book very muchhistorical fiction/mystery! Good job Amanda!
