    1. I was pleasantly surprised by this book. The writing was good and the story held my interest. My heart ached for Lydia and Mitch was such an honorable guy. The ending was predictable, but sweet none the less. A nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

    2. Lydia’s high school reunion was coming up and as the tormented class dork, she wanted to shove her new life in their faces. Unfortunately she didn’t have a new life. So, she did what any sane, rational person would do and advertised for a date… in the "men seeking men" personals. Mitch knew his friend Hal was playing a practical joke as soon as he laid eyes on Lydia. Hair pulled back in a bun so tight it had to be giving her the headache from hell. And she thinks he’s answering a gay per [...]

    3. This is a wonderfully written sweet story that fulfills every little girls dream, especially this little girl. From the memorable characters put into realistic situations to the slow burn of friends to lovers, I was caught up in this story from start to finish.Lydia St Clair is a loving daughter and highly responsible woman which has left little time for doing things for herself. I could respect her way of living and found bits of myself in her way of thinking. All she wants at the moment, other [...]

    4. About the book:Lydia had it bad in high school. She was teased and bullied. She never did, said, or wore the right thing. As an adult she became somewhat successful but her high school reunion is coming up and she doesn’t have anyone to take with her. She didn’t date in high school and rarely dated after high school. In desperation, she advertises for a date. She believes if she shows up without a date, it won't matter how successful she is, it will prove all her classmates right. She is a l [...]

    5. I admit it. I was a nerd in high school. I tried, honestly I did, but I never made higher than geek. To top it off, I wasn’t a brain, an audio-video geek (no computers when I went to high school) or anything that would put me in a certain crowd. I was just a misfit. Like Lydia St. Clair, the heroine of this story, says, “I was so the complete opposite of popular.” So I had rather intense feelings (and more than a few flashbacks to my own life) reading this book. What Lydia and Mitch Gannon [...]

    6. When Lydia St. Clair was in high school, she was teased and made fun of. The last thing she wants to do is show up to her high school reunion alone. She's not comfortable around most people, least of all men. So, she places an ad in hopes of finding a gay man who would be her date for the night.Mitch thinks he's helping a buddy write an article by going on a blind date from the personal ads. What he doesn't know is his buddy is playing a prank on him and he'll be meeting Lydia, who thinks he's g [...]

    7. Lydia St. Clair is a woman on a mission. She placed an ad on Craigslist for a gay man to escort her to her ten year high school reunion. Lydia hopes that if she shows up with a man in her arms that the evil jokes and bullying from ten years ago will finally end. Mitch Gannon answers the ad to help a friend write an article about online dating. He is about to find out that he has been set up in a prank as revenge for a blind date gone wrong. There is a problem; Mitch is not gay.Not wanting to bre [...]

    8. Okay, so Becky is my sister, but I seriously loved this book. I love stories where people re-invent themselves for one reason or another. In this case, Lydia St. Clair wants to go to her high school reunion as a changed woman, one who is confident and stylish. She's given up a lot over the years to care for her ailing father, so she finally decides to do something for herself. She ends up enlisting the help of a man she thinks is gay to give her advice about men. Only, you guessed it, the hunky [...]
