    1. If I had to describe this book in one word, the word I would use is vague. There’s a lot going on here. There’s a thief at the restaurant, the return of a ne’re do well father, the death of a long-lost mother, the introduction of an heretofore unknown sibling, an unintended pregnancy and a bunch of other stuff. That’s kind of a lot for a not very long book. While there’s a lot of stuff going on in this book, none of it is very developed. The unknown sister comes and goes in the blink o [...]

    2. I received this book from GoodReads First Reads Lacy Taylor has grown up to be an independent, strong-willed woman. Abandoned by her mother, neglected by her father, and raised with very little financial means has left her with a hardened exterior. Though Lacy is hesitant to start a fling with Chase McDermott, she throws caution to the wind and succumbs to passion. The two of them establish an arrangement, but feelings begin to complicate the whole situation. Here Comes Troublehad entirely too m [...]

    3. Review originally posted on Rather Be Reading BlogI can’t be the only one who has ever picked up a book because there’s a cowboy on the cover. Right?Well, Chase is just as gorgeous as I thought he was going to be (wait until you hear about his tattoos) but is also a pretty nice guy, even if he likes to “bed many woman” (as the book reminded me many times). He is the general manager of his family-owned restaurant where Lacy, our leading lady, also works. Lacy, who has known Chase since th [...]

    4. ***Thanks to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing) for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review***3.5 starsLacy Taylor has had to be independent--her mother abandoned her and her father when she was growing up, and her father is a thief and drug user. She grew up with her grandfather, Ray, in Trouble, Wyoming, and after his death, found out that he owed $20,000 for some questionable banking practices. The one thing she has going for her is her job, as a waitress at Mc [...]

    5. I received this book for free from First Reads to review. Here Comes Trouble from author Erin Kern was a cute romantic read. Lacy and Chase work together at Chase's restaurant and grew up together as Lacy is best friend's with Chase's brother. Chase used to tease her and call her terrible nicknames. They kind of hated each other. And they hate each other still. But then they start sleeping together which sparks an improbable romance. I really liked Lacy's character. She had a terrible life aband [...]

    6. This is the second book in the series of Trouble. I very much enjoyed the first one and was very excited to read this one when it was released. I was not disappointed, I really enjoyed it.I like the town of Trouble. I like the people that Ms. Kern has created in it - and I love the McDermott boys. Can you say Yummy! I enjoyed how Chase and Lacey had known each other for a long time, and how after years of being friends it developed into something more. It was real, and believable the way a conte [...]

    7. Oh My God!! I seriously LOVED this book, Chase holy s*** loved him, "screw it," he said, pulling the jeans on. "I'm going commando." He's infuriatingly cocky, "you can clean my scratches anytime." Lacy, s*** loved that girl as well, "and how would that work? Whenever you're horny you'll just call me and say, 'Hey, Lace, come over here and let's bang'?" I mean he's a looker and well endowed in certain places ladies, "unable to help herself, her eyes dropped to hisea. And what an impressive area i [...]

    8. Second book in this series set in small town named Trouble. A fun romance filled with steamy romance, witty banter between Chase McDermott and a girl he has butted heads with for years, who is now works for him as a waitress in the family-owned restaurant. Fast-moving read as the H/H confront problems from all sides before arriving at their happily ever after.

    9. A fun, light-hearted romance that has its suspenseful moments. Read it on Kindle and it kept me clicking.

    10. I didn't realise until just before I read this that I had read its predecessor, Looking For Trouble, a while ago and I really enjoyed it. So using that as a start, I was looking forward to this.I wasn't disappointed.Lacy's not had had a great deal of luck in her life. An absentee mother and a father who's spent more time in prison than out have gone a long way to shaping who she is - a fiercely independent woman. Chase, her best friend's brother and her boss, has a reputation as a bit of a playe [...]

    11. Here Comes Trouble is the second book in Erin Kern’s Trouble series. Each book can be read as a standalone. This novel is a contemporary romance set in Wyoming. The novel does have some editing issues, but not enough to deter from the overall reading experience. The tale centers on Lacy Taylor, a strong independent girl, who doesn’t know the meaning of luck. She has had a crush on her best friend’s brother Chase McDermott since high school. The sparks flying off these too is both hilarious [...]

    12. Review to comeeven better than the first in the series!I really enjoyed this story, but for me there were a few hiccups. I loved that Lacy wanted to keep her grandfather’s house, the only home she ever knew. But, why was she so broke and was there no resolution for the “friend” who swindled all of her grandfather’s inheritance out from under her? Add to that, the two out of county police officers looking for her dad and town’s people not liking her because her mother left her and her f [...]

    13. Here Comes Trouble: Erin KernI won this book from a giveaway from and promised an honest review. This book is absolutely amazing! I was hooked on the sexual chemistry and it's fast-paced plot from page one. Could not put this book down and just wanted more! Especially loved the witty repartee which made me chuckle out loud. Lacy Taylor grew up in Trouble, WY, and has always had a crush on Chase McDermott, her best friend's brother. Chase is a playboy who refuses to be in a committed relationship [...]

    14. I really enjoyed this story, but for me there were a few hiccups. I loved that Lacy wanted to keep her grandfather’s house, the only home she ever knew. But, why was she so broke and was there no resolution for the “friend” who swindled all of her grandfather’s inheritance out from under her? Add to that, the two out of county police officers looking for her dad and town’s people not liking her because her mother left her and her father was a crook. Seriously, how can any of this be he [...]

    15. This book tells the story of Lacy who is in love with her best friend’s brother, Chase. She from a troubled family where her mother abandoning her and with an equal irresponsible father, she was raise by her grandpa. Hence, it is understandable for her lack of confident in love. But, as she and Chase getting closer, her under wrap feeling for him being to surface and temptation becomes an issue for them. Chase, on the other hand, because of his previous relationship resulted in a secretive abo [...]

    16. Lacy Taylor just can’t seem to catch a break, with the FBI at her door looking for her idiot father, it is just one more knock against her. Having a crush on her boss and nemesis Chase McDermott doesn’t help either, but at least it is eye candy for a temporary fix.Everything about Lacy is all wrong for Chase, but he can’t help wanting to tease the beautiful woman who does her best to avoid him. When another blow is thrown for Lacy, she unexpectedly finds herself seeking Chase out. One mome [...]

    17. This book was received for free as an advanced reading copy through the GoodReads FirstReads giveaway. Contemporary romance really isn’t my go-to genre, but I can’t deny that I enjoyed this book. Once I started reading it, I could hardly put it down, I was so in to the story. All of the characters were very believable, and, more importantly, there was very real character development along the way. I really enjoyed Kern’s writing style, and felt that it matched the story very well. The only [...]

    18. Here Comes Trouble by Erin Kern was just what I needed after some of the 'high anxiety' romances I had been reading recently. It was a delightful story containing a strong but vunerable heroine (Lacy) and a hot, player coyboy (Chase), plenty of steam and a surprising amount of well-fleshed out subplots. Ms Kern did a great job weaving all the storylines together(with the exception of one mystery left unanswered, dang it) and even included some memorable supporting characters that (I hope) will h [...]

    19. I just adored this book. I read the first one and fell in love with it and the characters, and love this one even more. I enjoy how she gets so involved in each character. It's like I've known them forever. They are so real and human. When Lacy was sitting in the diner and said to the hunky man in her life something to the effect "If I eat anymore I'll puke." Thats real life dialogue. This book made me fall in love.n with the hero, made me proud to be woman to have known Lacy, made me cry and ha [...]

    20. This is the second book I have read by this author. I enjoyed it, however, like her first book it did not seem to be proofed. It had many grammatical errors and words missing and incomplete sentences. I don't know if this is because it was a kindle version and something happened in the downloading of the book. It was still a good book but a little annoying when you have to reread a sentence because there are words missing or it just doesn't make sense because the wrong tense of a word is used.

    21. There is a cowboy hat on the cover, I'm in. This was a sweet story of friends to lovers featuring a very likeable couple. The chemistry between them was palpable, and their love scenes heated up the pages. There was quite a bit of character growth and development. It seems to be part of a series but was perfectly fine on its own. The story was well plotted, the pacing even, the setting well drawn, the dialogue appropriate to the characters and the situations, and the sex was steamy.*I received m [...]

    22. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the characters and the plot. I enjoyed reading the banter between the two main characters. The love hate realtionship they had or she had made me laugh at times. The way the relationship between Lacy and Chase changes several times which had me rooting for them Big changes come their way and dealing with them is hard for both of them but they deal with it at their own pace. I found this book to be entertaining, romantic, sweet, and steamy A great read

    23. Netgalley FreebieThis book was really cute and heartfelt. The chemistry between the characters was great and you were pulling for them the whole time. There was a little mystery weaved into the story as well.Chase was a sexy restaurant manager with one interesting tattoo from college. And Lacy was abandoned by her mother and had jailbird father that comes looking for money. Oh and she also happened to be Chases brothers best friend. There is an immediate attraction between the two, and they set [...]

    24. Kern created likeable characters who interacted with me another in a believable way. The long-standing friendship between Chase and Lacey was evident in the way they communiczted with ease and humour. The trepidation in taking a long-standing friendship from platonic to romantic was portrayed nicely - with quick-witted banter, nervous back pedaling and eventual realization of what they both really want.Romantic, quick-paced, entertaining and engaging. Editing would have improved the rating.

    25. This was a great follow up to the first book. The second brother Chase and Lacy's story Chase is a typical ladies man and Lacy has had her fair share of troubles, which I won't go into too much as this is part of the story. This is an excellent read, and the story is well written the reader quickly becomes in loved with the characters lives. The relationship between Chase and Lacy is very realistic a real page turner.

    26. This was interesting contemporary romance that was nicely written with a HEA ending that was sweet…I found the book a real page turn and was hard to put down read. This is a boarder line story meaning it could be apart of 2 sub genre of contemporary romance. The book is a part of series but it can be read as single read (something I really enjoy)

    27. I received this book as a giveaway from . I dove right into it without reading the first of the series and had no trouble getting up to speed with the characters and was glued to the plot. Lacy was a breath of fresh air from the common characters in a lot of the contemporary romance books I've read. Every time I thought I had the book figured out, I'd get thrown for a loop. Good Read!

    28. I had high hopes for this book after a promising beginning with two characters with a fiery dynamic, but unfortunately, just a few too many things started niggling at me as too convenient and implausible about the plot points and the character actions. At the 25% mark I decided it would be best if I just let this one pass me by.

    29. Here Comes Trouble by Erin KernHere comes Trouble is the second booking the Trouble series by Erin Kern. This refreshing read with likable characters was tight up my alley. The banter between the main characters was quick witted and funny at times. To see the rest of this review click here
