    1. I really enjoyed this story. It kept me engaged from start to finish. The characters were well written and the story flowed nicely. I will definitely read more from this author!

    2. I have to admit, I laughed until I cried with this one. Once again another novel that is completely down to earth, even given the fact there is a millionaire involved. I was really happy and felt fulfilled by the time I finished this novel. It was one of those eats at your heart and fall in love novels, for me at least. Jennifer Schmidt is definitely doing something right and I can only look forward to the next novel she produces because I'll certainly be in line to grab it right up.

    3. This book is a fantastic romance! The writing was great and the book was believable (mostly). I felt a wide range of emotions while reading from happiness to anger to laughing to sadness. I loved everyone in the book. I think Cali was my favorite with her sarcastic humor. Her banter with Novalee was hilarious and upbeat just like you would be with a friend/ family. Dean was someone you wanted to hate for all the lies but you couldn't you just felt as bad about the situation as he did. I wanted t [...]

    4. Review originally posted on Words at Home blog March 6, 2012 wordsathome/2012/03/lasLast Call is an utterly un-put-downable contemporary romance full of more passion, emotion, creativity and moments that leave you breathless than I actually thought possible in a single novel. Schmidt crafted some absolutely amazing characters for this novel. I fell in love with Novalee right from the start. She was strong and independent but had a vulnerable side that she hid away from most people. She had some [...]

    5. SynopsisNovalee Jensen decides to take a much needed vacation to to Vegas. On her last night of vacation she meets an incredibly handsome man who shows her the time of her life. They relax, get drunk, and the next thing she knows she is naked in his hotel room and married to him. Novalee panics and flees the room before he can wake up. She returns home and continues running her bar for the next two years waiting for her secret husband to show up.Little does Novalee know, her husband is multi mil [...]

    6. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE REVIEWS AT READING, EATING AND DREAMING I WAS BLAIR WALDORFLast Call by Jennifer Schmidt is full of love, lies, heartbreak and humor. The hero’s are hilarious; the villains are ruthless. It’s a sexy adult romance, and it’s so freaking cute too. Wow, talk about some heat between the two main characters, Dean and Novalee. You can feel the connection and sexual tension radiating off the pages. This story had an original plot. It’s not very realistic, but it’s enjoya [...]

    7. I've had this one on the kindle for a while now and after reading it, I'm sad that I waited so long! Now, I've never been to Vegas, but I've heard of some pretty crazy things happening there. Last Call starts out in Vegas and in this case.what happens in Vegas, can majorly impact the characters lives forever!I really liked Novalee. She's funny, sweet, and sensible. Novalee has scars from her past and it isn't easy for her to open up to guys. However, Dean is just the right guy for her. He has hi [...]

    8. Nice story, The whole plot and stuff, amazing.Nov, STRONG and Loving and just amazing :DDean, I wish you'd just open your fucking mouth and speak the shit up.Cali and her crazy dirty talk (y)Richard, Bastard Burn in hell.I enjoyed this book, I liked how they spoke one thing but in their head ment another dirty lil pervy thing ;)The ending was super cute and I wish there was an epilogue :PSo basically the summary gives the whole story, but the ride is pretty darn good! The sexual tension is oozin [...]

    9. "She didn’t have to look to know his eyes were now on her legs, probably drifting up to where her skirt ended just above her knee."So, the night before she wore a skirt."Inhaling a shaky breath, she sat up, darting her eyes over the room in search of her clothes. Her jeans lay on the floor at the foot of the bed bunched up as if she’d taken them off in a hurry. Not bothering to look for her underwear first, she reached for her pants and squirmed into the heavy material while still lying on t [...]

    10. Intoxicating, addictive, utterly enthralling and touching are just a few superlatives I believe any reader would use to describe the brilliance of Last Call by Jennifer Schmidt.Immediately, sentence one of the prologue will have you inching toward your screen, Kindle, iPad, or novel as if you were watching your favorite motion picture or television series. With enough twist and turns to make your head spin, Jennifer Schmidt brings to life her novel with not only an original plotline, but vivaciou [...]

    11. I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchanged for my honest review. I would like to thank them. This was a great read it's very light and comical, plus it might just make you cry in places. I can't believe this is a debut novel by Jennifer Schmidt, I can't wait to see what else she has coming down our way. This is about a young woman who has been dealt some tough breaks in life and even though things have settled down for her and she has a nice comfortable life in Montana with a home, [...]

    12. Review on Passion for PagesYou know when you find a new author, read one of their books and love it so much you need to find others by them only to be completely disappointed because it didn’t live up to the expectations you set from the previous book your read?Let me assure you Last Call is nothing like that. This was Schmidt’s debut novel and it’s just as hot as her recent release Risking It All. The only reason I have this 4 instead of 5 stars was because it took me a little longer to g [...]

    13. This book courtesy of the LibraryThing early reviewer. While on vacation, a night out turns into a drunken haze, and Novalee Jensen wakes up hung over, confused, and… married? Fleeing Nevada, Novalee returns home to Montana to hide out, dreading the moment when her husband will show up to take her hard-earned business. But two years later just when Novalee thinks her secret is safe, guess who walks through her door? Now, face-to-face with the man she left in a hotel room two years ago, Novalee [...]

    14. Loved this charming, intoxicating, sexy story it was incredible. For a debut novel Jennifer Schmidt you have a new fan it was well written and it captivated me from the beginning. The characters had easy fun and a playful demeanor with one another. Love their chemistry and witty, flirty banter as well as their keep real attitudes. The pull they have on one another, that need that makes it even more passionate beyond just a well written sex scene that really had me drawn in. Novalee Jensen is a b [...]

    15. The full review is posted on my blog Journey with BooksMore like 4.5 StarsI admire how Miss Jennifer Schmidt gave the two main protagonists the chemistry that they share. Novalee and Dean just make you melt with their romance. I love their interactions because it’s funny, giddy and at times emotional. I also loved the way Miss Jennifer wrote the friendship of Novalee and Cali, they’re so fun to read. The book was written in Novalee’s and Dean’s points of view. I was amazed at how Miss Je [...]

    16. NetGalley free readI'm a little disappointed by this because I kinda liked RISKING IT ALL by the same author. I just felt that this book was a little soft. The story didn't really hold up. For Novalee (which I can't stand that name) to have been someone who had been beaten to within and inch of her life, I don't think she would be someone who would easily let loose and go off with a strange man let alone go on a vacation to a place like Vegas alone. Also, who gets married to someone and just let [...]

    17. Interview and giveaway can also be found at behindtherows4.5 starsNovalee Jensen is a small town bar owner who has had a rough and trying life full of abuse, pain, and death. Throwing caution to the wind she finds herself in Las Vegas flirting with a mysterious, but very good looking Dean Philips. What starts out as harmless banter and coy looks across a bar turns into a foggy night that ends up with Novalee waking beside her now husband. With haste, Novalee leaves Nevada and her new husband to [...]

    18. Last Call was a cute, sometimes sweet, quick read. Although the drunken marriage in Vegas thing is hardly an original plot device, the reason behind Dean’s desire to marry Novalee is. I really liked all of the characters in this book, especially Novalee’s friend Cali. It would be great to get a book about her at some point. There were a lot of moments where I wanted to shake the crap out of Dean. He was making the dumbest decisions, but I guess he had a decent reason. Still. He should have be [...]

    19. Reviewed by Whitney@Shooting Stars ReviewsNovalee Jensen has had a pretty rough life up until now. She's done everything she can to move on from everything that happened. But two years ago, she did something completely out of character for her. And she figured what happened in Vegas stayed in Vegas. But apparently that isn't the case for her. Because when her big mistake walks through the door of her bar, she has no idea what to do, or what he could possibly want after all of this time. Dean kno [...]

    20. I am always looking for fun, interesting and unique contemporary books. For some reason, unique plotlines are a lot harder to come by in contemporary books. (at least the in the ones I have been reading- leave me suggestions if you think I am flat our wrong)Last Call, however, was pretty unique and certainly a fun read. I really enjoyed it. I loved how strong the main character was. Novalee didn't take anything from anyone. She was a bit too closed off at times, but that was completely understan [...]

    21. Originally posted at Bungalow BooksInital Thoughts:I was given an ARC of this book by NetGalley. Vegas + secrets + lies = I'm in.The Pros:This book was heartwarming. Novalee is just so sweet. She's been handed a rough deck of cards in her life, but she's made it out on top.Dean's progression from miserable drunk to heartthrob was a fun ride to be on. His love for someone he barely knows (even though she's his wife) was confusing yet romantic at the same time. The fact that they stayed faithful to [...]

    22. The idea of a Vegas wedding to a stranger intrigued me enough to want to read this novel right away. Novalee and Dean couldn't be from two more different worlds. Wealthy hotel mogul legacy vs small town hardware store owner's daughter. That in itself had me turning the pages.I read this book in two days. Let me tell you, with all that I have going on in my life, that is quite a feat. I just couldn't stop. I kept telling myself they can never work out. How the hell can this possibly work? Dean wa [...]

    23. Last Call is a pleasant little escape from reality. Both characters were strong individuals who survived traumatic experiences in their lives and came out stronger as a result of them. Through this strength they are still flawed making them very believable characters. The plot fluctuates between flirty and fun, like the cover suggests, to serious and back again. The author teases you throughout the book by gradually revealing details. The more you read, the more secrets you learn making it hard [...]

    24. **** ARC provided for review****This was such an engaging book. It is one which I thought was going to be extremely light and fluffy, but I was pleasantly surprised that this wasn’t the case. The back and forth point of view was really good too, because you really got where both characters were coming from. Too bad we can’t all be so luckily and marry a millionaire by accident in VEGAS. I will say the only dis appointment for me was the lies. I really hate when characters lie for no reason o [...]

    25. I really enjoyed this book, i like how it was written from both Novalee and Dean's POV. Novalee has had a rough life the small town girls goes on vacation to Las Vegas stepping out of her comfort zone and flirting with a very good looking man across the bar 'Dean'. what starts out as harmless flirting and banter turns into a foggy night for Novalee and a shocking discovery that she is married to the naked man in the bed. 2 years later Dean a successful business man rocks up in Novalee's bar. The [...]

    26. Thanks to the publisher, The Writer's Coffee Shop Publishing House, and NetGalley for the chance to read this early! This is my first book by Jennifer Schmidt; I was impressed by both her extraordinary characters and incredible writing style. I am not sure how the author was able to put that much chemistry & deception into a single book without a warming label – but I am glad she did. This is a keeper! Disclosure: This ebook was provided to me free of charge through NetGalley for the sole p [...]

    27. Too much alcohol! An impulsive wedding! No contact for two years with his new wife. Not to mention the appalling lack of veracity! Dean Phillips needs a wife in the next 30 days or his alcoholic, gambling, trifling and abusive father will inherit the family millions. It was a cute story but Dean just told way too many lies to Novalee. She really needs a husband who is honest and reliable, not a man too afraid to tell the truth. The story was over burdened with profanity and graphic sex.

    28. I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thew story had an original plot and there was an undeniable chemistry between the two main characters. If you're looking for a read with romance, sex, heartbreak and a bit of fun - this is it

    29. Once this got going, it was really good. Great new find by a new author. I look forward to reading more of her work!

    30. Quick, fun read. It reminded me a little bit of the film What Happens in Vegas. I received this from The Writer's Coffee Shop via NetGalley for an honest review.
