    1. I found this to be an odd book. I like some parts of it but found others strange. I liked that this story took the time to build the relationship between the characters but then there wasn't enough time to truly expand upon feelings etc, so in the end it felt a little rushed. Also, there could have been a lot more chemistry between them, I didn't quite feel it as much as I should have. The characters were ok but I had an issue with some of Garret's actions towards the end. I don't want to give an [...]

    2. This is the first book that I have read of Roxann's and it definitely won't be the last. From the moment I started reading this book I knew I would like it, it made laugh, cry and angry in certain places.I won't be going into too much detail because that would spoil the book so I will give a brief outline of the characters.Garrett Miles is a attorney and lives is in Desperation, his sister Paige is engaged to Tucker who works for the police departement. Until one day when Garrett was having lunc [...]

    3. This is a new cover on an old story (from 2011), with the same title and blurb, with nothing new or different, taken out of its original series and put into another linked by a similar theme: fatherhood. Having said that, I’ve not read any of the rest of the Hearts of Desperation series and I got along just fine.I really enjoyed this. It’s sweet and clean, with likeable characters and emotional situations. Garrett might not have been looking for deeper commitments in his busy life, but I lov [...]

    5. I haven't read any of this authors work, but I will after this . I love stories like this, where single dads, who aren't ashamed to ask for help, get so much moreThe characters, especially the kids were well writtenOverall such a lovely Story

    6. Sweet little story about a single mom and a guy who suddenly learns he's a dad. Set in Desperation, Oklahoma. I enjoyed it.

    7. I gave this book three stars - it was an okay read but it was slow, lacked detail and I didn't really feel the story went anywhere.
