    1. A delicious trek thru the cuisine of the middle east and north africa. Having lived in Morocco myself for several years, I found the food to be quite authentic to the foods found in all areas of Morocco. A definate buy for anyone interested in good food, good times and healthy eating.

    2. An excellent selection of recipes. Many of them were familiar to me, but there were a lot of new ones, or variations on ones I knew. It covers a wide range of countries and styles of cookery, and the recipes are easy to follow. This deserves its place next to my treasured Madhur Jaffrey vegetarian book.

    3. obscure cookbook, but great traditional recipes from all sorts of lands of figs. simple and straight forward. some ingredients not so easy to procure though. has about 100 egg plant recipes, for example.

    4. An decent cookbook although it is extremely heavy handed with the eggplant. A downside to the title is that most of the recipes are not unusual and can be found in other better known Middle Eastern cookbooks.

    5. I've tried many of these recipes and all of them are tasty and easy to follow. I highly recommend this book!
