    1. This series just makes me extremely happy; I love the mix of high fantasy and humor, and Jeff Smith's artwork is just excellent as always.

    2. Lots of twist and turns in Bone Volume 6. One twisty revelation made me laugh out loud and one was gruesome. I enjoyed the drawings in the first dozen pages of this addition. There were several close-ups of human faces, which I don't remember seeing before in this series. The artist said so much in the worried expressions and tired, care-worn faces. I also liked the two page spread that was part landscape and part action with the dialogue happening across the bottom of the page as the rat creatu [...]

    4. This book reveals more of the plotting between The Hooded One and the Lord of the Locusts, and follows the inhabitants of the valley as they pick up the pieces after the attacks by the Rat Creature army.I took that from the description, but it basically says all there is to say. The longer I read this, the more sure I become that I would not have continued reading if I had to wait for the installments. The difference in the material between book 1 and this one is worlds. I love where the story i [...]

    5. Ooooo great look what "The one who bears the star on his chest"did."The one who bears the star on his chest" started this war between us(Barrelhaven)and the rat creatures.Because he wanted to be dumb and pull off a bet with this big guy named Lucius. But The one who bears the star on his chest is phoney Bone made a bet and phoney Bone made a promise to us, that he would slay a dragon and betrayed us but the bet is in Book 4. This comic book is really good because its very discriptive it has good [...]

    6. War has come to the valley. Smiley and Fone Bone are still lost in the forest. Gran'ma Ben has joined with the Veni Yan warriors and is at the Old Man's Cave with other survivors from the valley. The rat creatures are still looking for Phoney Bone, "The one who bears the star" and some of the villagers are more than ready to hand him over. But even with all the trouble he's caused, Thorn doesn't let any harm come to him. Thorn eventually goes off on her and before joining with the others at Old [...]

    7. Old Man's Cave the sixth Bone book by Jeff Smith started off with a bang. Thorn finds Fone and Smiley and with Ted's help leads them to the Old Man's Cave. They meet up with Phoney and Grandma but Rock Jaw needs Phoney to see something at a mountain. The Locust attacks and it becomes clear just how dangerous the Hooded One is.With all this action going on I realized I had missed something. I was sitting her looking at a giant talking mountain lion wondering why I had forgotten about him. I had t [...]

    8. This book is about the bones find a ton of rat creatures and have to run inside of cave. I did not really like this one because it was to complicated. I recommend this book to people who like funny and books that the bad guy always looses. And also this is the 6th book that Jeff Smith made so look up bone 1 and read 1-5 before you read this book.

    9. This is the sixth book in the bone series. The war is getting worse each sides are getting ready to fight. If the rat creatures win then the locust will get his full power they need to win the battle. I would recommend this book to people who like fantasy. But you would have to red the other books first

    10. Bone: Old Man's Cave was really entertaining and it made me wonder a lot. Thorn, Smily, and Fone Bone were trying to get to old man's cave to find Thorn's grandmother.I recommend this book to many people because the book was really exciting.

    11. There is a war that spreads throughout the valley and fone bone and his friend run and hide in the woods because everyone thinks that they killed someone but they did not. Grand ma calls them to stop hiding, the rat creatures attempt to take over the valley

    12. The Bone series is a great series in general because of many things, but I like this one the most because of it its excessive humor and great plot line which was really fun and easy to read.

    13. old mans cave is a funny and exciting book. It has a unnecessary gory sen but apart from that it will be a good book to have on your bookshelf.

    14. It was a good book because it has killing in it. I didn't like the last few pages because it was boring

    15. The main conflict in this is the hooded one wants to find princess thorn and kill phoney bone and the other bones and thorn are trying to stop them.

    16. This volume finishes off the "second act" of the three acts of the Bone Saga. At this point things are starting to come together, but there's still a lot left to happen. Interestingly, Ted the Bug is revealed as being more integral to the story than might have believed possible. More character building for the townspeople and Thorn accepts her mission, or does she? All this and even more shenanigans from the Bone cousins, although the silliness is giving way to the drama as things speed toward t [...]

    17. I like this book. At first I started to hate it, it bored me to death! So I abandoned it. But then I came back to try it again and, it was pretty good! I love the mystery between the royal Harvestar family and, I wonder how Thorn will be in the next book. At the end, she clearly seems to find a cloak that looks like it could belong to a stick-eater. Or maybe, Briar, Rose's sister. This book was filled with mystery towards the end and, a bit of interesting storytelling as well so, good job, Jeff [...]

    18. Bone chapter 6ReviewBone: Old Man’s Cave is a book focusing on the good side of the war. The team travels to old mans cave where they meet the “stick eaters” who are the good guys but believe in old worshipping rituals and start conflict with the others. This book is the one that starts the war.

    19. This story is getting more interesting as it goes along, but I'm starting to worry about it suffering from "long climax syndrome" - the same thing happened with Naruto, where the big finale took books upon books to finish. I'm very curious as to how Smith handles the next few books.

    20. This was honestly my favorite bone book that I have ever read. My favorite part was the ending because it made me wonder what will happen next. The only thing I did not really like is that they went to old man's cave on page 77 and why not page 62 instead.

    21. Bone, Vol 6: Old Man's Cave Finally some answers! This volume was very satisfying but also left me wanting more (and of course I didn't have the other volumes with me when I finished this one). The series has been getting progressively darker, and I can't want to see where it goes from here.

    22. Great writing, intriguing tidbits of character development, plus artwork which makes you flip back through the pages again after you've finished. What more can you ask for, really?
