    1. Miranda returns to the family farm to help her sister and father. Along the way, she meets an artist just back from the Civil War. He is injured and she is attracted to him, however, his family has bad blood between Miranda's family and his. This is a lovely written tale of romance in the old West during the aftermath of the Civil Wars.

    2. 29. I didn't enjoy this as well as Teresa Bodwell's other book, Loving Mercy. A poor plot with holes, inconsistent writing and too many similar instances to her first book made this book hard to read. I'm hoping that this book was rushed to have a second book and that her following books will continue with the enjoyable writing of her first. Will keep this author on my watch list.
